Arshi is dominating and treating him like a slave ..he has given up and surrendered himself..Clearly she has shown him her true colors ,if she leaves, he will go away to J ,that's why she is not leaving him, what I don't get is why don't he take the initiative to leave her, zabardasti kya hai, why should he be shown so weak to come out of that relation, when there is no love..Basically he is a daredevil who takes risks, In this matter why,why why..
It is a plot device, I know , to keep her revelant in the story ...but in all in all it's irritating to see didi and also AK on the other end .
Coming to the beauty of the song with their good memories is a treat to watch and foreshadowing changes in their upcoming relation.. Both are on the verge of mental breakdown..Ani has feeling of being physically, mentally and emotionally overwhelmed by the stress of life ,unable to cope up, but chudail isn't understanding his condition,thinking it's his fake drama π’..Her dominating tone is the most irritable sabase chidachida..They're building up for upcoming HA.
Today J has given back to AK, kuch tho akal dikhayee..why did CD tell her about Ani when he has requested not to reveal? CD seems to be cheap,talking all irrelevant things..but he has shown aukaat of BFF ,by telling Ani's ehsaan to get ad project ,nahi tho udaan mein mast hai..π
Overall it's a good episode with their emotional turmoil shown beautifully π
Aniβs so called indecisiveness is not a plot device imv while it may seem so.
in this I have to appreciate the guile with which Leena has written Aniβ¦Ofc if Ani takes actionβ¦things may have been different but in that caseβ¦ the conflict in the story just dissipates and what would remain is just Ani trying to woo Jhanak to get her to agree but how would that break the gridlock of Jhanakβs inhibitions? So, Leena has built strong defence for why all three characters in the story are acting thus. Giving Ani the nature she did, his impulsiveness, his steadfastnesses and even his indecision all somehow fall into place.
Ani is a sensitive soul. He didnβt mean to fall in love with Jhanak Yes, he was heavily attached to Jhanak. He was very invested in her welfare and the term well wisher he used actually aptly describes his relation for much of his journey with Jhanak. Yes, blurring of lines occurred but It was much much later that he started to fall irrevocably in love with Jhanak, almost at the end when she was leaving for Kashmir. It may see like a trope but the narrative built his fallin in love as a moving journey. If you go back to the episode of the post Arshi ashirwad ( at the doc clinic) his first acknowledgment of the impact of Jhanakβs leaving has on him yet he wasnβt looking to break his commitment to Arshi coz thatβs not how he looked at the issue. He was subconsciously fighting hard any impulse. It was post Kashmir that his actual realisation of what he termed love ( as he understood it) starts to happen and he behaves irrational on his return, petulant, crazed at Jhanak going back on her promise to be with him.Then the fire event occurs and it changes too many things. He makes an effort to move on knowing he hasnβt been fair to either; Mumbai then happens and he revisits his trauma and comes back chastised knowing that all is lost. The baby track ( not the best handled one in terms of how the post intimacy track unfolded) causing him misery that Jhanak would want to revenge him in a vindictive wayβ¦ yet his heart remains engaged with Jhanak irrevocably. Jhanakβs near death experience only bringing home the feeling that he canβt fight his feelings anymore. he intends to break it to Arshi butβ¦..
To put it simply.. when time passes on and you havenβt acted upon something( either you didnβt realise it or you put it off) β¦ it will reach a point when taking action will seem difficult or incorrect. Ani used to say.. sahi galat hum baad main decide karte hainβ¦his resolve in getting things done for greater good and ignoring the aftermath of a decision begins to materialise in this phase. His scene of not being able to break it to Arshi was a fab sceneβ¦loved it!!
