Ani first fell for arshi smart , talented and straight forward he only surrounded by ppl who dominated him who always bosses on him so he was casual about his life chose a girl accordingly

Life changed when he met j who was smart , charming and innocent he fell for that innocence j attracted him some how her talent first attracted him he thought she deserved better life even arshi was supporting him but her mom brainwashed her she is selfish off course

First time a girl needed help and he started helping her in that help he married her and brought her home

For the first time he got a chance to take responsibility like an adult u see always bossed in the house he became a hero to the girl who is so naive

Slowly physically treated her like a wife

Many layers in his journey he just connected with j

Eventually both had that bond

But both were hesitant to acknowledge the bond they had

If one advanced one would stop but when things hit a rock both felt insecure

Caught in the responsibility they ended up rejecting each other feelings started hating each other

Love and hate made a switch still does basically ani is angry that she never fought for him when she signed those papers of ending the bond

She is angry on doubting her purity and not supporting her in baby track

Still they love each other because they know they are inseparable

Communicating will solve there problems but no both are complicating things

Arshi is speed breaker in there bond

So they will go on and on

Yes the story is about two insecure individuals.

@ bold This goes with Anirudh Bose trait of uplifting others and kindness (or controlling or decision making)

It goes back to the same reasoning when Ani offered the ad with Aditya to J even when the agency came looking for Arshi. At that time J was grieving and struggling, so Ani campaigned it for J. Of course J made the ad shoot a success and now Aditya is her friend, who is offering her better opportunities. At that time Ani reasoned with Arshi that she will get other opportunities.

J still has no idea that Arshi was originally selected for that ad shoot.

Similarly ...

When Ani asked J to sacrifice the dance competition trophy, he gave the same reason that J will get better opportunities. At the time of competition Arshi was in depression and on medication. A trophy would make her confident (also arrogant) and it did.

Arshi is vaguely aware that J did not perform well deliberately, also that the reason behind it is Ani. Magar usko kya faraq padta hai. use toh aam se kaam, gutli phenkna aata hai ise. (i cant believe she was so ungraceful when she accepted the trophy)
