At no point in the story did I feel that Ani fell for Jhanak due to his issues with Arshi. I would think the writer has a clear path for conflict resolution!!

No... I don't think Aniruddh and Jhanak fell in love because Arshi was the way she was.. because I think this show has explored the concept of perception vs actuality of love...

Ani and Arshi were in a relationship...yes..They must have done things that we are supposed to do in a romantic relationship socially...but Aniruddh never understood or felt what love is before meeting Jhanak..He is a passionate man... jealousy, possessiveness, restlessness is his style of love...and the fact that he doesn't feel any of these for Arshi tells me that though they were in a relationship...may be there was likeness..but he was not " in love" with Arshi..Just ticking boxes for eachother...and they were not expecting anything more...

In Mumbai there in a episode...Arshi assumed 'blue' as Aniruddh's favourite colour...but Jhanak knew that his favourite is white.." sirji ne kaha tha white unka favourite hai" or something I don't remember correctly you though...Matlab in such long relationship.they didn't even discuss such things....she doesn't even know this much....

It's Jhanak who made him aware of so many colours in his personality... otherwise the image " Aniruddh Bose" is anyway too proper but ultimately is a facade only...He gradually embraced himself being open to be himself with full honesty around Jhanak...From Arshi's side also it was not love as there was never trust, understanding or respectful conversation from her side towards Aniruddh...

Biggeest example is RuNak even after going through such life altering storms, that would have been deadlock in any relationship...still there immensely in love...but in case of AniShi , Jhanak was probably the first challenge and look what it did to their relationship

And if Arshi wasn't as bad as she was...it would have delayed them falling for eachother probably....Bcz there was noone around Jhanak who would protect her or empower and uplift her,thats why Aniruddh had to understand that he is her only "Apna"., ..He kept becoming more and more protective...The emotional intimacy would not have been built the way it did if Jhanak wasn't so lonely or so much in trouble...he made all his existence about Jhanak bcz there was never anyone else whom he could trust with her...If Arshi would have been different and more compassionate and loving towards her cousin-sister,then probably Jhanak wouldn't have stayed in BH only.... Aniruddh wouldn't have to fight sooo much for her...

Their journey would have been different....and thank God it is the way it is... Inspite of Arshi being like this, both of them are living with so much guilt...If Arshi was actually better, toh kya hota hamare

As for why they are doing it? LOL budget cuts in the TV industry...they don't want to pay money for new scripts and now they aren't even bothering to do regional remakes, just simple copy/paste scenes from Hindi shows that aired just a couple of years back

You know that's why I love RuNak so much... Old school Romance resides in eyes....when you don't even need physical proximity..eyes speak the condition of your heart and convey your emotions...I saw that here ...in case of this clip of Adilie..where they were lying at a distance but their eyes spoke same language..

Contrary to the clip from " Maati" with FL lying on the ML...the romantic bollywood song could not made me feel that ..

Wahi toh.. Imlie was a recently aired show...like star is recycling its own show and presenting it again and again...Why not remake regional show at least...such dearth of creativity... everything has become about business and money...

I think what Jhanak said in that Mumbai epi was that Sirji ne mujhe kaha tha ki white mujh pe best lagta hai or something like that....lol I don't know if she said that Sirji ka favorite color is white.....Makers are inserting these things retroactively simply for the sake of random moments....like in yesterday's epi, they also showed that creative director saying ki Ani Jhanak ka haath pakad ke laaya tha ad shoot pe or something and again we're like hain? Kab ho raha tha yeh random ghumna ghumana of RuNak that makers are now using as references in current scenes? It's a total cop out from the makers because they have spent so much time on MUs after episode 200 that they think they can create the narrative of a relationship through these retroactive references now.....lol

But I do want to see if they will do anything about Arshi boasting in every epi that no one knows Ani better than her.....lol Ani has spent so much time putting on a mask in front of everyone ki woh khud hi bhool gaya hai who he actually is....so maybe he himself needs to realize at this point ki the Ani that Arshi claims to know better than anyone was a facade only....she doesn't have a clue about the real Ani and what matters to him.

And later accusing him with chindi dialogues ki pyar ki jaal main phase gayi and all that . Didi agar pyar ke jal main phas jate toh ab tak woh aapka Pati hota ....in front of the world. You yourself never wanted that but phir bhi Ani ko confuse karti rehti ho with the dialogues like mera sindur mitt gaya or kisi ne pucha bhi nahi .....accept bhi nahi karna rishta or accuse bhi karna hai ki aap kya mujhe dusri aurat banana chahte hai . During the " Aag" track..so called depression, he killed himself every moment losing all the essence of Aniruddh Bose to make her feel better and comfortable... specially asking Jhanak for that sacrifice he murdered himself only....only to get this.....

Like okay whatever "wrong" Aniruddh did with her..she can get angry, frustrated..shout .Though according to me she has crossed the stage of accusing Aniruddh since a long time....Her life ,her equation with Aniruddh.. everything is her choice with complete awareness...

But Aniruddh didn't deserve such inhumanity...Arshi forgot that because of Aniruddh and Jhanak's kindness and goodness, she is there with her mother... forcing him to go for abroad...Varna she would be sitting on the wheelchair...in depression...after " Aag" track... Shrishti would have been in jail...Not even have minimum gratitude...so much entitlement..

"Humanity" is innate ...and Arshi lacks that and because of this only she kind of drove Aniruddh away from herself and pushed him towards Jhanak....and that resulted in such an emotionally intimate bond between them...

Even in Anupamaa, Kavya din't become full vamp & it worked for the plot....advantage for Upma is that its a mature lady story, there are a lot of topics to explore....but Jhanak being young doesn't leave much scope to explore any other angles than love/career......at least that's wt i think

Anyway no matter what she does to Arshi or any character, I'm curious to see if she can make 3000 episodes & if yes, then How? Someone said Ani's memory loss is loadingso I have zero guesses for what may come

I agree it would be interesting to keep PL’s grey… for me the biggest draw in a story if it keeps the quintessence of the love story alive that the conflict is majorly centred on the personalities…not the catalysts..not the villains, a bit of circumstances naturally but very typically personality driven…
