. That scene had so much emotions and yearning between adi and imlie even when they fall almost 5 feet Apart.......woh connection ye log ek dusre pe gir ke bhi nahi la paye . The background music , that eye contact jaha ankhon hi ankhon main ek dusre se sari shikayat kar dali thi adilie ne ....
Makers cannot show Arshi penduluming between good and evil for infinity.. atleast national tv audience will not accept it for long if Ani clinges to Arshi for long..I didn't follow Imlie show regularly..but I know that it was a remake of Bengali show Ishti Kutum...in the Bengali show, PL was never made complete vamp..in fact she had a very appealing arc...but in case of Imlie, makers had to turn PL a full fledged vamp after a point of time to keep the audience hooked...here also, Arshi will be made to do things that will place her as a vamp and pave the way for Runak union..
For me Arshi has always been negative.... Infact that was surprising ..as I had heard that all Leena's PL are meethi churi...who are double faced...who pretend to be a supporter of FL but purely selfish from inside who conspires behind the back...but here Arshi was always open with her nastiness and her evil perspective towards Jhanak...
She has always been bullish,classist, self-centered and dominating nature she learnt from her mother to put people down to make her look superior... She is a depiction of someone who is good as long as things go their way and become immediately hostile and defensive as soon as they sense a threat similar to how she sensed a threat in Jhanak because of her innate personality and talent. She only wanted Jhanak to have a chance to dance because it made her feel morally superior as a good person and present herself as a good person before Aniruddh , not because she genuinely is one. She immediately became hostile and took no time to poke and jab at Jhanak the minute she saw her dance on stage...she inspite of being untrained tied with her for first position in the dance competition and at other moments like the Haldi ceremony where she witnessed Ani being mesmerized by her exuberance during her dance...
Her mask of goodness fell within moments...What she felt was not a competitive jealousy but a very evil nasty feeling towards her...
After that it's only one bad thing after the other...When Aniruddh brought Jhanak home after her mother death, the complete lack of compassion and understanding that Arshi offered is so so horrible.. I almost got trauma when I saw the way Arshi kept slapping Jhanak when she actually gave blood to save Aniruddh and didn't even feel apologetic...
Her being part of breaking her sakhapola,Her being part of a plan that was made to sell off Jhanak to evil like Avinash, Tejas and her stopping Aniruddh when he tried to stop the wedding....
She always had the awareness that her mother is planning something against her, just because she was mostly not directly involved doesn't make her any less evil...
She is just like her mother, unable to see past herself....she claims to love Aniruddh, but she has never hesitated to use the distant and hostile behaviour of his parents against Aniruddh...The power she holds in front of his parents if she had actually loved Aniruddh she at least once told them to talk to Aniruddh with affection...Ulta she has been the one who has always insulted him..by tarnishing his image in front of everyone...
And the way he is with people like Jethu, Bodomaa and most importantly Appu Dii..whom Aniruddh loves so much tells it clearly that how much she actually wants to be part of his world....She just wants a trophy husband to show off....slave basically...
And it's just about people seeing her as who she actually is...And not victimizing her bcz of her statement regarding investing for so many years....as if Aniruddh hadn't invested those years of his life as well....
That's why I keep telling that I want both of them to open eyes and realise that Arshi was never worth of their sacrifice....she never was...
LOL Imlie was an obviously better written show to start with. Even for an adaptation of Ishti Kutum, they executed the initial 150 or so episodes of storyline superbly....the kind of layers of emotional complications that story had and how it was executed was class even with the backdrop of such a controversial topic. They kept Adi's character so honorable despite him having conducted bigamy....lol that is an impossible tightrope to walk but he still managed it. Aditya-Imlie's story had a lovely soulful angle to it that ofcourse was ruined later on to prop up psycho Malini and new ML....lol
Jhanak has not been written that deep to begin with
......and actually that is an advantage for the show....when you have that much depth, it becomes harder to pivot....lol but here Leena Aunty seems clear about her mission of episode count increase so everything works around that rather than giving much coherent arcs to the characters....lol hence the constant flip flops and pivots from everyone.
Ani making conclusive decisions will change a lot in the story....lol so they are probably pushing that as far down the line as they can and milking whatever they can from the status quo vagueness with giving him some crumbs of clarity like currently it's the clarity that he loves Jhanak.....not sure how many more episodes before he gets the clarity that he isn't married to Arshi and she has no claim on him

It is a remake of Imlie with a different backdrop with different actors just to give freshness to the audience π€£
Also, how come Arshi didi is not around for this Trishul moment of Jhanak? Conveniently woh gaayab rehti hai jab Jhanak aise stunts karti hai....lol Didi ko bhi unki aukaat pata lag jaati is scene mein

Yes, it is literally a scene by scene copy....you can see the original scene from Imlie in this clip below....they've even copied the color of Imlie's sari for this scene

As for why they are doing it? LOL budget cuts in the TV industry...they don't want to pay money for new scripts and now they aren't even bothering to do regional remakes, just simple copy/paste scenes from Hindi shows that aired just a couple of years back

I like the way Leena shows poetic justice...
Arshi broke off J's shakha pola and removed her sindoor..see what happened to her ..even Anirudh's ring finger is occupied by J! Shadi to dur ki baat, ashirwaad tak nahi hua Ani ka..Ashirwaad means the bride or groom is already accepted as the bahu or damad in the family...so Ani didn't even reach that levelπ€£
Then the aag incident...any sane individual would have realised that it's God's way of telling not to trespass..but she just kept blaming Ani for her ordeals whereas it's Ani who sacrificed his happiness to help recover Arshi...
Eventually she will be punished for her insensitivity and hostility towards Ani...I am waiting for that track..

J will be hostile towards Arshi and Srishti post BBG identity revelation and Shrishti's role in it...not before that..
