T h e y are trying...Karan and Alia...she is as stubborn as he is... and, honestly, it's their right, isn't it? Just imagine the work they did into making this movie...and also the 'heart'-work...

Actually, I don't find anything to celebrate...or to enjoy...

I may not have positive thoughts towards Jigra because of some not-so-nice-things attatched to the making of the movie and I also wished the movie to give something to re-think for Karan and Alia...but still I'm far from gloating...

Chappak was mock saying don't worry Jigra will beat it easily and laughed out loud.

Chappak true niche movie has beaten Jigra on all days... from Day 1 still first Monday so far. And Chappak came four years ago in a clash against Tanaji, also anger surrounding DP which may have affected the movie.

Well, never praise nor condemn it before the release because one never know how the movie actually performs at the box office. No one is invincible.

At this rate, Jigra could struggle to cross the Rs 30 crore mark, which would be a disappointing result for a film headlined by Alia Bhatt.

In contrast, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, a raunchy comedy featuring Rajkummar Raoand Triptii Dimri, has had a slightly better, though still modest, performance at the box office. The film earned Rs 5.5 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 6.9 crore on day two, and Rs 6.4 crore on day three. However, it too experienced a decline on Monday, pulling in Rs 2.25 crore, bringing its total collection to Rs 21.05 crore.

Though Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video has outperformed Jigra in terms of total earnings, it too pales in comparison to previous box office successes. Rajkummar Rao’s last film, Stree 2, achieved much higher numbers, grossing an impressive Rs 55.9 crore by its fourth day. Similarly, Triptii Dimri’s previous film Bad Newz outshone her current project by earning Rs 3.5 crore on its fourth day.

One significant factor contributing to Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video's edge over Jigra is its wider release. With over 3500 shows across the country, the comedy film had a larger reach compared to Jigra’s 2800 shows. This wider screen count gave VVKWVV a clear advantage in terms of audience exposure from day one.

Looking ahead, both films face a tough road. Jigrawill need a strong second weekend to regain momentum, though its chances appear slim. Meanwhile, Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video may continue to earn in small but steady numbers. However, with competition from other films and fading buzz, neither film is expected to make a huge impact on the box office.

Rao Tripti movie winning the opening weekend over Alia's movie. Nobody thought this.

Shocking as well as hilarious knowing how this forum works.

And am sure without seeing Jigra, it will be a better movie than VickyVidya.

We are laughing is how pompous some people were about Alia and Karan were, how other actresses were mocked about their failures. The thing about Bollywood, no one stays at top forever, actresses get replaced.
