You beautifully echoed my feelings. this is exactly what I feel as well!
The makers are haphazardly creating stories like How i used to write assignments the day before submission date.
The fact they dont realise they twisted the story too much and didnโt even promote the SR or hug scene. Nobody even knew SR dream was coming. It caught us by surprise and was poorly edited into the episode only better because of leads!
the mudur pulao scene if Ani was hilarious lmao. Like wtf he dreaminh about food when talking abt trust was like ?????????
Either Ani is food motivated like me or the makers literally stoned while writing
the sisters legit would kill off all romance in story if left to their own devices! ๐

And truth be told, we have families in our societies, where parents emotionally blackmail, manipulate , twist children (both sons and daughters) to make them do WHAT THE PARENTS WANT !
The emotional blackmailing starts with "Hum logo ne tumhare liye, kitna kuchh kiya, we sacrificed so much to bring you up!" etc.etc.
I have watched such children , grow up to be young adults and adults eventually, from close quarters and they are always left double guesing, doubting their own decisions , sometimes devoid of the power/ sense of taking decisions even and being indecisive as a result!
The childhood conditioning never taught them to 'man up' coz they have been conditioned to fulfil some one else's dreams and wishes ! Their marriages/future relations end up being disastrous for some!
It is so important for parents, to understand the concept of consent and let a child specially who has now transitioned into an adult, to just be !
For Ani now, it is, "Yes I love J" but big deal ! It is the same for BH ! They know Ani loves J but big deal ! So many people love so many others!
Ani will probably go through a journey from being a pacifist to a rebel, but he would need enough wind beneath his wings,enough motivation from J , to be able to do so !
There is a lot for him to un-learn, simply coz he is 'conditioned' in a certain way, to look at life n it's problems/situations. Some one needs to guide him and show him there are other ways of dealing a situation, rather than pleasing everyone! Maybe Minu?
Also, probably mis-treatment of BH at Arshi's and Shrishti's hands could help him turn into a different leaf!
The way he loved J, exposed his vulnerable self to her, he has not done to any other ! When that love got thukrao'ed , mujhe aj tak kisine itna nehi thukraya, he went bezerk, he has gone bezerk before as well.
If Arshi thukrao'ed her, he wouldn't feel such extreme pain, coz his feelings for Arshi were never this deep enough!
His way of showing his grievance is revenge from J , again an extreme emotion that he has kept only for J ! He is not spiteful towards anyone else really! Qki no one ever stirred him up, the way J did!
Side Note - Ani remembering the Mudur pulao scene, when Anjana says you did not trust J, shows how dischorded and disoriented the writers are atm as it made absolutely no sense !
Sadly, all this is fetching TRPs, keep Ani this way, sometimes doubting J's intentions, other times saying ILU to Arshi, is generating the needed hype, positive/negative doesn't matter ! Till the time, the TRPs don't dwindle, this crapfest wouldnot either !
The other fact, that can't ignore, is the Kashmir hug and SR dream scenes did not fetch the TRPs as much!That could have caused a nosedive for RuNak!

The story works for me as a Runak storyโฆ I understand largely the motivations of both characters.
To me, until this point I havenโt felt that the two were in a position to just walk off into the sunset irrespective of who took the step to own up to their relationship. This could certainly change tomorrowโฆ in the near future when they understand each other better or they overcome their inhibitions to yield to love.
Jhanakโs disapproving taunts largely earlier on came when she did not understand Aniโs actions ( inscrutable to herโฆ blow hot blow cold and strange actions of ownership)
In the later stages, when she had fallen in love, it came again from her persona that was warring between head and heart knowing love wasnโt for her but yet yearning it.
but her actions were steadfast with the knowledge that their bond was not possible if peace was to be achieved. Even if her head accepted this her heart did protest especially when Ani used to flirt with danger ๐ goading her to rebel

โฆ here Ani is showing his displeasure by screaming at them .. removing the anger which is in him.. when family talks against Jhanak by screaming at them .. as he canโt say what is in his heart..but how long he is gonna put this up.. at a time person will break.. but he wonโt.. as J told him that he can withstand any toofan & he will hold itโฆ so till end he will sacrifice for his nonsense family by sacrificing himselfโฆnow I have hope from Arshiโฆ she will never trust him.. just like Jhanak.. let his family cover up.. his lies.. but I hope Arshi keeps her trust of not to trust him forever.. now how this marriage registration drama will go.. so done with this stupid marriage drama โฆ this will be now 3 time dramaโฆ they should have done this in 1st drama only

Earlier I thought ghum PH made mockery of marriage and rituals...but here they made complete mockery of Hindu marriage.
