Even I am feeling the same now that he is using his smart tactics to manipulate everyone so that they will not blame Jhanak.
Whereas Rahul's wedding with Jhanak is mainly because he is completely assured that Jhanak loves him, and he is the only one genuinely in love with Jhanak. Jhanak's fueling is another negative aspect here that drives him to think like this.

mine is already busted…I thought they are over with their idiotic ways to butcher characters and lengthen the track but they are not. They clearly want this to be a 1000 episode show so this is gonna happen … be ready to get used to this if you wanna see the show lol

Post that accident, he behaved extremely rudely with Jhanak, and later on, we got to know the actual reason. So maybe this is the twist and turn from the makers' end. 😟
