Boney Kapoor And Khushi Kapoor Inaugurate Sridevi Kapoor Chowk In Mumbai With Shabana AzmiSridevi left a major void in the lives of her family members and fans. Honouring her legacy, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation renamed a junction in Mumbai. Today, the Sridevi Kapoor Chowk was inaugurated by Boney Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Janhvi Kapoor gave it a miss but Shabana Azmi joined in.

The chowk is located at a junction near Sridevi’s longtime residence, Green Acres Tower, where she lived for many years before dying in 2018.

I didn't know Shabana was close to the Kapoor family. She's looking much older here, not like in her usual movies or at her birthday bash.

Now I can see why people were saying Boney used the insurance money from Sridevi's death for his hair transplant.

This is a beautiful honor for Sridevi. I don't feel the Kapoor name was necessary though. I wonder how much of that was Sridevi actually wanting to be known as Sridevi Kapoor or how much more it was Boney wanting his own family name included in this honor. I don't think I've heard anyone refer to her as Sridevi Kapoor.

I feel bad for Khushi. You can tell she looks very sad here. It must be hard losing her mother so young, missing out on so many important milestones, and having to replace her with these minor honors and tributes which are meaningless compared to a mother's love. I wonder if she's close to her father because I hope she has someone in her life who unconditionally loves and supports her, besides her sister.

Isn't it common to name certain streets or places after deceased actors?

Ok didn't know that. That makes sense why she is present.

I also think adding Kapoor surname was not required here.

Khushi does look forlorn. I feel sad for her.

I agree, why Sridevi Kapoor instead of just Sridevi

She was known to the world as Sridevi (like most South Indian actors and actresses she used mononym) not Sridevi Kapoor
