Yes, I think that's common sense. You don't just go against your family? So if your brother, sister or sister in law or brother in law...any immediate family is in trouble, you will go against them?
Apart from common sense, legally you can't fight a case against your family :)

The bts was pretty clear to me. Why else would he be yelling at her? Obviously he is upset that she is going against Ruhi. Abhira is being unreasonable here because the case could have been settled outside of Court, she didn't have to drag it all the way to Court to try to get Ruhi imprisoned.
I don't think he expects Abhira to support Ruhi, it's more why is she going to Court against her when this matter could be settled.
Compensation is a form of punishment as well. She didn't intentionally try to kill the guy, it seems he appeared out of nowhere. Yes, she was speeding, which is wrong and therefore she is liable to pay compensation to the injured person.
Ruhi might not be anything to Abhira, but she cares about Manish. Going against Ruhi, is going against him.
What is Ruhi to Arman...well I think we all know the answer to that 
Legally though, Ruhi doesn't have to be related to Abhira, a conflict of interest still exists because she knows Ruhi.

I don't understand why the writers can't get this basic concept right!!! Particularly, if you are in the same profession, and you are related to each other, you simply cannot fight cases against each other. It's not legal at all!!!
