Initially The miss world tag got Aish into great projects in Tamil by Tamil movie makers,Jeans was one of them.She grabbed eyeballs and became popular in South India(I'm not sure if she was popular in North India at that time) with that movie, She was good in that movie,look at this song, her dance was stunning here .

Ash was a superstar on her own merit. No doubt about that! But I feel Dia could have sustained too given her beauty! She just failed so damn hard, there is hardly any memorable role of hers!

Dia Mirza was never a terrible actress, or maybe she has just gotten better over time. She was really good in Dhak Dhak last year. As for why she didn't reach stardom, I think it's mostly about luck and getting the right project at the right time. Plus, constantly being compared to Aish didn't help her either.
