In telangana Ashirwad ceremony takes place in both bride and groom places. .

First men from bride family visits to groom family and blesses him with gifts like Jewelry, Clothes and money is called Varapooja..it's like making the relationship official. Later groom family visits bride and blesses her with gifts like fruits, sweets and other suhagan Nishani is called poolupandlu..
