He definitely snagged her old memory and he will do that again as well later on but right now he made her halt in her thought process, very calculated move he made here I must say. She didn't have in her mind that he will do such a thing.

Mercy and ASR, no way. He went through so much and waited so long, tried everything to make her confess that Fadak padta hai but all he ended up hurting her along with him. He decided to move on with his life with La leaving Khushi alone but then Payesh came in between and they joined hands again just for them. A bombastic moment was when he confessed to La his feelings unintentionally and Khushi had no idea. But his joy and relief were visible when he found out about the breakage of her engagement.

The first kiss in a relationship is way too important and if you ask me he did kiss her during Teri Meri, he touched her the way any man can touch a woman for the very first time. This is why both couldn't deny the effect they had felt. He was adamant to make her accept this time in a different style and he never left her alone even after the dance.
