I think Shyam was very good at his craft, the second Anjali had any doubt, he did all he could to clear it, and its in her character to want to make everything ok, nothing can be wrong. So when her own marriage was in trouble, she wanted to just believe that everything was fine and rejected any other explanation, especially when it came to Shyaam. During the kidnapping she believed Shyam over Khushi and NK...when the truth finally came in front of her, she realized what a fool Shyam made of her and I agree with you, it made her stronger and more secure with herself. it would've been nice to see her fall in love with a worth man, she deserved so much the "sansen ruk jaayengi" wala love that she told her brother about...

Ami, Anjali was someone who believed in the 'saansen ruk jaayengi' type theories and it came true for her brother. I am sure if the story had continued, she would have found someone with whom she would experience the dhak dhaks and the saansen ruk jaayengis. Season 1 had the Payash story for a parallel track, season 2 should have Anjali's story as a parallel or maybe a full-fledged track. There's so much in her story and personality that can be explored.

I loved what you said about Arnav And Anjali, how tragedy made them two different persons (highlighted in green) And yes, what happens happens for a reason. I just want to say one thing about Anjali. I think she was too dependent on the men in her life. That's why even the brother she loved and cared for so much could tell her when angry, "yeh mera ghar hai" prior to rakshabandhan and something to the same effect before Kanya puja.

Wiwy, the above in bold 🀣 . No use of so many achchi bachchis, our school kids are besharam enough. πŸ˜†
In blue bold, I agree. She's been very much dependent on the men in her life. That is why, later Anjali's story would have been interesting. After kicking Shyam out, the story should have been concentrated on Anjali's metamorphosis. Should have temporarily sent Arshi abroad and proceeded with Anjali's story about how she becomes self-confident and self-dependent.

Here's a little info on the Hindu new year. Yesterday was a New Year for the following people.
Telugu and Kannada people - Ugadi
Maharashtrians - Gudi Padava
Sindhis - Cheti Chand
I believe some others also celebrate on this day, but I'm not sure who.
This Sunday, 14th April, the following would be celebrating their New Year
Tamilians - Tamil New Year
Malayalees - Vishu
Punjabis - Baisakhi or Vaisakhi
Asssamese - Bohag Bihu
Again, this list is not exclusive.
As Chalhov said, each year is given a name and there are totally 60 year names. The names are repeated every 60 years. Why, only 60? No idea. But, there's definitely a reason behind that, have to do some research on that. Any experts here with deep knowledge reg. this?

Happy Ugadi to all!! Thank you for the info, Durga! I thought it might have something to do with the lunar calendars. I did a little research and found it on Wikipedia.
"Lunar calendars have a sixty year cycle and starts the new year on Yugadi i.e., on "Chaitra Sudhdha Paadyami". After the completion of sixty years, the calendar starts a new with the first year.

Yugadi (start of new year) is based on Bhaskara II[citation needed] lunar calculations in 12th century. It starts on the first new moon after Sun crosses equator from south to north on Spring Equinox."

I know Thai's and Cambodian's (Khmer) New Year are also in April so I did a little more digging. Credit goes to Wikipedia.
"The Songkran festival (Thai: ???????? (Pronunciation), Khmer: ??????????; from the Sanskrit word sa?kranti,[1] or literally "astrological passage") is celebrated in Thailand as the traditional New Year's Day from 13 to 16 April. It coincides with the New Year of many calendars of South and Southeast Asia.
Songkran has traditionally been celebrated as the New Year for many centuries, and is believed to have been adapted from an Indian festival.
The most obvious celebration of Songkran is the throwing of water. Thais roam the streets with containers of water or water guns (sometimes mixed with mentholated talc), or post themselves at the side of roads with a garden hose and drench each other and passersby. This, however, was not always the main activity of this festival. Songkran was traditionally a time to visit and pay respects to elders, including family members, friends, neighbors, and monks. The songkran festival is counted as a new life.
Besides the throwing of water, people celebrating Songkran as a Buddhist festival may also go to a wat (Buddhist monastery) to pray and give food to monks.
The term Songkran comes from Sanskrit "Sankranta" and means "a move or change" ' in this case the move of the sun into Aries ' Mesha Sankranti.
Chola Dynasty ruled Thailand during Rajendra Chola I's reign 1012'1044 C.E. Hence this festival coincides with the Tamil New Year, Puthandu, which follows the Nirayanam vernal equinox and generally falls either on 13 or 14 April of the Gregorian year. 13 or 14 April marks the first day of the traditional Tamil calendar and is a public holiday in both Tamil Nadu and Sri Lanka. Tropical vernal equinox falls around 22 March and, adding 23 degrees of trepidation or oscillation to it, we get the Hindu sidereal or Nirayana Mesha Sankranti (Sun's transition into Nirayana Aries). Hence, Songkran falls on the same date as observed by most traditional calendars in India as in Tamil Nadu, Assam, West Bengal, Kerala, Manipur, Odisha, Punjab and Tripura, not to mention Nepal, Bangladesh, Burma, Cambodia, Laos and Sri Lanka.
Songkran is also celebrated in Laos (called pee mai lao), Cambodia (called Chaul Chnam Thmey, Cambodian New Year), Myanmar (called Thingyan ????????), and by the Dai people in Yunnan, China (called Water-Splashing Festival). The same day is celebrated in South Asian calendars as well: the Assamese (called Rongali Bihu), Bengali (called Pohela Boishakh), Maithils (called Jood Sheetal), Oriya (called Maha Visuba Sankranthi), Malayali, Punjabi, Sinhalese, and Tamil New Years fall on the same dates, based on the astrological event of the sun beginning its northward journey. Songkran as such is similar to the Indian festival of Rangapanchami, Holi, with a lot of splashing of water as paints, colored dusts, and fragrances.
Songkran is also very uniquely similar to Jood Sheetal festival celebrated by Maithils in parts of Bihar and Nepal, also their new year, where water is poured on younger people's head, on plants, roads and everywhere possible. With putting water, one of the 5 constituents of life, on heads of youngers, elders bless them to be satisfied and never be longing for something unduly (Jiya Judal rahai in maithili). In Maithil villages, same age people pour water and mud on each other in celebration.

The traditional new year celebration in Sri Lanka also coincides with the Thai new year."

Isn't it amazing how different we are yet similar in some ways?! Since I'm Chinese/Cambodian/Thai, I would like to wish everyone HAPPY CAMBODIAN AND THAI NEW YEAR! πŸ₯³
I remember my childhood growing up in Thailand during Songkran! It was really fun and amazing! April is the hottest time of the year so it was super refreshing to splash water with your friends in the heat! Also going to the Buddhist Festival was sheer joy with carnival games, concerts, yummy food, movies, Thai traditional dramatic performance and Chinese traditional drama.
BTW, Thai and Cambodian language are also influenced by Indian language particularly Sanskrit and Pali! Did you know that the word "rose" (Kularb or gulab) is the same in Cambodian, Thai and Hindi?! I've learned about it when I heard Khushi said the word! What the...that sounded familiar!! Isn't the University of IPK fabulous?!! πŸ˜† πŸ‘

Thanks Katelyn for the research it really amazing how many traditions customs have so much similiarity across the globe and sometimes its also opposite some believe this is good and some say its bad if you research pumpkin you will find so many things which sound same and diffrent regarding its usage and customs And interesting story of Vishnu and sage Narada
An Interesting story behind Telugu New years Day Ugadi names is

There is a myth that explains why Kapila Shashti occurs so rarely. It is said that when the sage Narada, who had always been celibate, decided he wanted to have female companionship, he asked the god Krishna, who had 16,008 wives, if he could marry one of them. Krishna asked only that Narada choose a wife who was... not in anyone else's company. Since all of them were busy enjoying the company of others, Narada went to bathe in the Ganges River. When he walked out of the river, he discovered that he had been transformed into a woman. He (now "she") married a hermit and had 60 sons, which left her so exhausted that she begged Vishnu to return her to a man. This Krishna granted, but after Narada was a man again, the sons wailed for their mother to feed them. To quiet the turmoil Vishnu granted each son dominion over one year. Each year of the cycle is named after one of Narada's sons. Thus, the cycle is 60 years long. The last day of the cycle is Kapila Shashti, the day when Krishna turned Narada back into a man.

it is said that Lord Sri Krishna's Niryana took place on the first day of the bright fortnight in the month of Chaitra Masam that marked the beginning of Kaliyuga. Hence, Ugadi can be assumed as the beginning of Kaliyuga.

In the concept of Ugadi the sixty year cycle has the following names.

Prabhava, Vibhava, Shukla, Pramoda, Prajapathi, Angeerasa, Shrimukha, Bhaava, Yuva, Dhaata, Eeshwara, Bahudhaanya, Pramadhi, Vikrama, Vrusha, Chitrabhanu, Subhanu, Taarana, Paarthiva, Vyaya, Sarvajittu, Sarvadhaari, Virodhi, Vikruthi, Khara, Nandana, Vijaya, Jaya, Manmatha, Durmukha, Hevalambi, Vilambi, Vikaari, Saarvari, Plava, Shubakrut, Shobhakrut, Krodhi, Vishvavasu, Paraabhava, Plavanga, Keelaka, Saumya, Saadhaarana, Virodhikrit, Paridhavi, Pramaadee, Aananda, Raakshasa, Nala, Pingala, Kaalayukthi, Siddharthi, Raudra, Durmathi, Dundubhi, Rudhirodgaari, Raktaakshi, Krodhana, and Akshaya.

As per a popular legend these sixty names are said to have been associated with the Divine Sage Narada. Considered as Brahma Manasa Puthra, Sage Narada is a great Scholar, Saint and Philosopher depicted as a Divine Messenger. In all the Divine stories we find Narada playing a key role and his involvement in one way or the other. As per the legend in brief, once upon a time Sage Narada caught in the mystery of Sri Maha Vishnu Maya (illusion) added with a curse from Lord Brahma had to become a damsel with a desire to experience the materialistic life. In the process the Damsel marries a King and gives birth to 60 sons. Later, during the course of time the King along with his 60 sons dies in a battle. Grief stricken the damsel (Narada) came out of illusion with Lord's mercy and realised that it was the Maya of Lord Sri Maha Vishnu. In memory of Narada's (Damsel's) sons and to give eternity to their names, Lord Vishnu blessed them that thenceforth, the sixty year cycle of Hindu time element would be represented by their names.

Ugadi signifies the current period in which we are living as per the Hindu time element in a 60 year cycle with each new year (Ugadi) denoted by a unique name starting from Prabhava and ending with Akshaya. Currently we are in Swetha Varaha Kalpa, Vaivaswatha Manvanthara, first leg of Kali Yuga under the 28th Maha Yuga, in Salivahana Sakha. As per the Yuga Pramana the life span of Kali Yuga is 432,000 years out of which 5112 years have past and we are entering into 5113th year. As per the Sakha pramana that is being followed in South India, the life span of Salivahana Sakha is 18000 years out of which 1933 years have past and we are entering into 1934th year of the current era.

quite a story is it not though not relevant for this thread

Wow, Kate, that's some info you've given. What a reasearch! Thank you so much. You know, there is a line in Sanskrit 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbam', meaning the whole world is one family or the Universal family. We all might seem to be different, but actually, we are all similar in so so many ways. Wishing all a very very Happy New Year. πŸ˜ƒ

@Kat

Thnx for the detailed info really interesting and yes we all are big happy family in this world as Globally the distances are shorten and we are living next door to each other as I am New yorker and live in the city and teach in the city where one class some times 35 students and 32 have different languages yes no kidding ELL[english language learners] from different parts of the world so imagine teaching them is kind a fun and research itself. The only two languages I had problem with to teach ia Polish and Russian but as Russians are good at Math and Science so wasn't that hard but two students from Poland I had really hard time to teach other than that so far so its fun.Learning everyday and at the top their celebration days and rituals and customs quiet a knowledge itself.
I create a calendar in the beginning of the year so won't mistake wishing them on their big days and they do the same and don't forget wishing me on mine.Quiet a fun

You are really a gem on this thread Kat with that much versatility .Happy New Year.

"

Not everything is perfect, especially in the beginning. And it's all right to have a little bit of regret every once in a while. It's when you feel it all the time and can't do anything about it... that's when you get into trouble .We all do things we desperately wish we could undo. Those regrets just become part of who we are, along with everything else. To spend time trying to change that, well, it's like chasing clouds .That's what is happening the most in this epi...as written Fate is playing a big role here." - Very True...but we do wish to change it don't we!!!

"King has some regretful moves with his Queen and wants to undo but have no clue how.The very same feelings our Queen has as her silly games are making her desperately wish for undo things which are sweeping her to do Jungle mein Mangal.Crazy stuff..." - she was really adorable nd cute with her craziness πŸ˜ƒ

"What's done is done" as Shakespeare said and everyone has to move on"

"Nainital is a combination of nain..meaning "eye" and Tal..meaning"lake" water as Nanital is full of lakes and there are myths linked with it as one of them is Sati"Paravati" fell on earth while being carried by Lord Shiv and where she fell that point is called Nain-Tal meaning Lake of the eye.- thanks for this piece of infoπŸ‘πŸΌ...nvr knew abt it

"

Connection: Arnav is Lake and Khushi is his eye.Arnav and his life needs direction and some sort of peace and it will come from Khushi and she will be proved as his eye." - Wonderful Connection πŸ‘

SCENE 2-Naniji and La[Bishop and pawn]

"La gets mote upset knowing Khushi is with ASR but it does not bother her that much..hmmm interesting...She does not know the difference between tap water and Ganga jal but she surely knows Khushi is a good girl.

" she asks how did Naniji accepted her as DIL when she has no clue of cooking, sewing or anything...Poor girl does not know that is the regret Naniji has which she is rectifying now by teaching you all or get some Bahu who knows it...🀣 too good

- Really Loved Babuji's Trust here πŸ˜ƒ

SCENE 4- Arnav and Khushi[KING AND QUEEN]πŸ‘

"Arnav is on his way to Nainital with his high charged brain[hey! finally he accepted La is "Bewaqoof"πŸ˜†] while Khushi is in his Dickey with her non charged brain in the dark comes to light after finding out where exactly she is.

#5 represents a perfect man [acc to Christian beliefs represents a jump from east to west meaning changing in behaviors good or bad. Arnav's behavior will be worthwatching during this trip

-πŸ‘πŸΌ

"

He hears a voice among all the noise and Then "Unbelievable" in the middle of their angry union BG music...here she is...What the"...His astonishment and acrimony has no end...and so her innocence and livelihood πŸ˜†" -the entire scene was really good to watch 😊

"

Love her when she says,'Aap na ziyada What the what the mat kijiye hum aap ko batate hain keh kya huwa"Loved his concern mixed with anger when she hits her head. She explained him how her Dupatta got stuck in his car and how she got fainted and all." - on the Bold Part ...same here 😊

"Her Dupatta meaning her respect got stuck in his car meaning connected to him and her fainting meaning unintentionally taking her away from reality[ Love, feelings for him start in her].

"Arnav with worrisome and concerned ,"Jaldi gadi main baitho"..seriously the man was totally possessively perturbed and perplexed about her at this point. She looked at him befuddled ,"aap humain choraingey"Arnav antagonistically,"Aur nahin tou kya tumhain beech sadak chor keh..." - Well Written πŸ‘πŸΌ

"he couldn't finish his sentence and reverberation of the night brings new layer of regret on his face.Today he wants to close that loop by taking her with respect in his car.He can't leave her there in this broad day light in this hustle bustle regardless .She is baffled and bewildered all about this too.Love the way he opened the door today for this silly girl and waited for her.😳 me too...i loved how he opened the door...whn she went to open the dicki πŸ˜†

- πŸ‘

nice expressions

"He remembered the night when she poured out all her heartfelt tears along with him.He slows down with deep concerns...and what is this on her face ,an acknowledgement of his gratitude and a soft relieved satisfaction that he does care.😊 wasn't tht sweet of him...

"Her distress and fears make him frantic and disarray it did not go unnoticed by her either. Her eyes passed the gratitude to him too which he received that without looking at her. -Very well written πŸ‘

"Khushi's silliness is making life more romantic😳 here as LG is ready to push the car towards the gas station. She surely can push it because of her extra tonic Jalaibis.Love her over here.Sanaya as Khushi is marvelous in today's epi, just too good.⭐️ - Couldn agree more

"One thing is so evident she can take orders from her LG without fidgeting and at he top she is worried too much about her LG's health as he was fainted today - She cares so much 😊

" he tries to make her nervous in return with his close proximity by taking off and putting his jacket right next to her and yes of course throwing close daggers on her and the way he folded his sleeves up like I am no weak...was too cute.πŸ‘-Well said... i personally loved tht moment...i wish it as better shot...but their closeness was amazing..even though it was for tiny second 😳

πŸ‘πŸΌ very nice

"Khushi with extra sugar is ready to push her LG car while he couldn't do without sugar...love the way he was looking at her. "Gaadi chalane ki zaroorat nahi, kyu ki gaadi hil nahi rahi hai"πŸ˜† - Amazin Lines here

Just Yummilicious...Today it looks pure hubby and wifey nok jhonk on the way of crisis...by putting up with each other.πŸ˜‰ - i agree πŸ˜ƒ

- too good πŸ‘

"

Arnav's irritation is worthwatching while he is on the phone with Aman and she thinks he is addressing her..Khushi,"wo tum se ya hum tum se"🀣....Arnav,"khushi Kumari Gupta se" ...[laughing way too much]Love both of these two super duper actors.....πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

"Love his way of caresing her strands of hair and her Dhak Dhak and level of trust and comfort at this close proximity ,none of them stopped. He did it as this is his right and she lets him do it as he has right on her...hmmm interesting 😳

"Caressing her hair is the most beautiful thing ever in IPK as Arnav does not leave any chance from Guest house to on ward at many occasions to do so and this one move of him shows his love and care I adore the most.I just love it. " -well said...nd good notice πŸ‘..its a Arshi thing πŸ˜‰

"Khushi,"uss LG ko tou apni parwah hai nahin par humain tou hai na"Bingo! Temptalicious is tempting towards her LG in a serious tone...and Yes madam there is no other way but Nainital way...- very cute 😊

"She follows him like a shadow in the jungle...and one day they both will be shadow of each other.Love the way she pops out of the tree and pours out her innocence in this wilderness.πŸ˜† true

"Khushi is a chatterbox and he wants silence but its impossible for KKG to do so as later in Ma's garden she tells him"Jab hum chup rehtain hain tou humain aisa lagta hai jaise puri Duniya Khatam ho gayei hai"Today he wants her to be quiet and later he accustoms to her blabbering. - i don even remember tht scene...it was complete Body doubles...pathetic...such a an important scene was spoilt...hate it...thanks for tellin though

"Khushi,"ure rukiye naa" what a wifey way of asking LG to have mangoes.[mangoes sexual desires "] Arnav,"chup'bilkul chup....as he is tired of all of her talking...He threatens her to cut her half salary if she will not be quiet for 5 minutes to make her quiet but then he is standing in front of his regret why did he do that[why do I have this feeling he was missing her talking] because her presence her talking was not behind him..."Khushi This is not funny" He threatens her, begs her, orders her, looks for her madly ,screams for her, but Khushi is no where to be found...

You hav captured every minute of Arshi wonderful words nd Edits...βοΈπŸ‘ really awesome analysis

"A strong man,a Gladiator, who thinks he is omnipotent, defeats in a war and falls down on the ground, helpless. Don't you feel a pang of pity for the man.the man who can conquer any battle, but gets so weak in front of God's will. God gave him a deadly disease called juvenile diabetes. If he doesn't take proper food or medicine it can be deadly for him.So it happened with him.ASR is feeling dizzy, his sugar level is dropping, may be he didn't eat properly." -
very well written πŸ‘

"
He understands his health condition and comes to the kitchen for sugar. But our Sanka devi is obdurate to keep her vow,"no no to LG."πŸ˜† Her dhakdhak is back seeing him,"why did you come here, i neither want to talk to you nor see your face.don't come close to me. go away from here". she turns her face from him.

"
ASR doesn't have the courage to talk back.He tries to attempt to say something, but instead he sits down on the ground. Khushi turns and finds him, he is not there. Khushi thinks he left. But God's wish is something else. God wants her to save his life, coz God has written her destiny with him. She has to bow down to pick the kitchen towel and finds her imperative LG is sitting on the ground helpless.Khushi gets frightened in apprehension, "Arnavji, are you OK?"

"
there is suppressed tension in her voice. she splashes some water on his face, what brings his sense, but still he is in his semi conscious state. She carefully holds his head on her hand.- wasn't it adorable the way she held him 😊
He is asking in weak voice "Kuch meetha, need some sugar". She hesitates in the beginning, but realises, he really needs something sweet.

"
She finds a last piece of jalebi and feeds him in trepidation. (pause: did I feel some kinds of sensuality in this scene? - i felt it too 😳
the first feed from her hand to her beloved. and the succulent Jalebi was touching his lips and how he was eating and gulping the Jalebi sure made the scene sensuous. My sexy boy was looking so hot eating the jalebi. How his lips were moving seemed to me that not Khushi's jalebi but he was actually kissing khushi. the jalebi only used for metaphor.Gosh I'm so bad!πŸ˜†) -
the way u hav written is sensual 😳

"
He comes back to his sense. He stands up, but still he is not stable.Khushi tries to protect him from falling by caging him, putting her hand on both side of the wall. "Are you alright, what happened?"He beckons in a weak nod,"my sugar level dropped. Don't tell it to anybody. Di will be worried for nothing." I bow down my head to this great man who can't think of himself, only can think for his beloved.- πŸ‘πŸΌwell said

"
she is getting delirious, touches her cheek and smears besan there,"I didn't know you were sick and I talked you roughly." Arnav shows her that something is on her cheek. She misunderstands and smears besan on her other cheek. She continue," i was mad, will you forgive me?" Arnav is nodding his head to see herwaywardness.- it was cute 😊

"
Khushi thinks he will not forgive her. she now smears more beason on her forehead."hey God I didn't want to ,but becoz of my acidity and my erratic heartbeat." Arnav can't hold his laughter any more to see her besanfill face. he starts laughing loudly.- aww she made him laugh πŸ˜ƒ

"
Khushi saw a different Arnav today. she mutters herself,"haste huye aap bilkul Laad governor nahi lagte." There is a certain satisfaction, some kind of pleasure in her faceπŸ‘. Sanaya is brilliant in the scene.- could'n agree more πŸ‘πŸΌ

"
Where in RM Khushi is taking care of her future hubby, here in the vegetable market, Akash is coaxing his future wife. πŸ˜† well said

"
Payal and Akash share a sweet moment doing the grocery.Akash tries to be benevolent with Payal, intends to buy grocery for her.But we know both Payal and Khushi, how meticulous they are about their self respect!

"
when La unveils her scarf and shows the rashes on her skin, Mami gets frightened. She tells her that she gets Allergic reaction. Mami taunts her,"LOG, is it a new fashion?" - Poor La πŸ˜†

"
Khushi was outside doing some mischief with the car. She is sitting with a pipe beside the car. The secret of her shararat will reveal soon. She moves to the back of the car to implement her next mission.she opens the car back door with her hair pin.- well written πŸ‘πŸΌ

"
Let's see who ends up do romance with ASR, La or khushi. i know there will be no romance in the trip, but the nainital trip certainly escalates their relationship to a new level.😳

Very Nice analysisπŸ‘...Loved the Green parts...nd my comments in maroon...nd thanks for sharin the VM...one of my fav songs...nd a very nice VM 😊
