and i see where you're coming from the La having some condition for loving him, but to me, her initial attraction may have been the power/status but where she was the day we met her willing to eat eggs for him even though she was allergic, willing to do the teej vrat, willing to change herself so much, willing to put up with his yellings, willing to say "i love you" to him when she knows it won't be returned and most of all willing to look the other way from his attraction to another woman...tells me that his power and status don't matter anymore, if they did, she is a young, attractive, independent woman, she could go after other man that have the power and the status and who may actually give her more emotionally that what ASR provided her. She didn't get him as much as Khushi did, but La knew that he was a good person at heart,and maybe just hope like so many woman do that he will come around, if not she can live with the way things were...till of course Khushi planted importance of marriage in her head...just my POV :)

I believe whatever happens, happens for a reason. I would like to talk w.r.t. IPK story. Arnav and Anjali, both victims of a tragedy, turned into different types of individuals. One a non-believer, arrogant and non-trusting, the other naive, blindly trusting, religious, God-fearing and superstitious at times. Now, because of Shyam, Khushi entered Arnav's life and because of her, Arnav mellowed down. He could overcome his past and live life peacefully.

On the other hand, Anjali always got hints that maybe Shyam was lying, but she chose to overlook them and decided to have full faith on him. Anjali got the biggest shock of her life when she got to know about the true face of Shyam. She kicked him out, and with him went her insecurities of life. I believe, post Shyam, Anjali has become stronger. No more insecurites about relations. Because of Shyam she was able to get over her tragedy, and is now more confident. If the story had progressed, she surely would have found a suitable life partner.

I hope I've been able to put my point across.

Durga, kya baat hai, great post, i'm with you about how one tragedy had different effects two siblings.

I think Shyam was very good at his craft, the second Anjali had any doubt, he did all he could to clear it, and its in her character to want to make everything ok, nothing can be wrong. So when her own marriage was in trouble, she wanted to just believe that everything was fine and rejected any other explanation, especially when it came to Shyaam. During the kidnapping she believed Shyam over Khushi and NK...when the truth finally came in front of her, she realized what a fool Shyam made of her and I agree with you, it made her stronger and more secure with herself. it would've been nice to see her fall in love with a worth man, she deserved so much the "sansen ruk jaayengi" wala love that she told her brother about...

i know what you mean. and that's why if you notice i have a caveat.

there is randomness.

terrible things for no reason.

wonderful things for no reason either.

struggling with it is killing at times.

but still, something in me believes, it is not all fate... your life is not all written by another, you do a bit of the writing too. just my way of thinking, others are equally valid. whatever helps on live is fine with me.

god is an idea that perplexes many. all those who suffer, even many who don't. i guess the idea is such, it is vast, and the wondering never ends.

I know and yes I notice all of us here are somewhere connected some how in some ways.Underlined its not ANOTHER we are talking about its GOD who created us yes we do change our fate by putting effort but my belief is some how its part of written too as Khushi says "Apka haath pakar kar likhwaya hai" something like that.I reach to this after a long time but when I was young I had no belief in any thing.Just mast malang who cares attitude.😊
