V has a scene with Vinu at night. the kid is back to sleeping alone now. V sees him and still does not regret his lies. he recalls sai's guilt, her plea, her tadap and tells sleeping Vinu that your "immandaar and honest" (NOT) baba is lying to everyone- Sai seh, aapki asli aai seh. voh bechaari dar dar bhatak rahi hai but I wont tell her. Then he says I lied to P, your mumma that I didnt meet Sai. If I tell her, she will ask questions and truth will come out that you arent adopted but my real Vinu- Sai and my Vinu. So he acknowledges Sai as Vinu's aai but wont tell her truth. Blames destiny for everything not his own choices, bad behavior. So kid also has to suffer for his wrongdoings. V cannot make me as audience feel any sympathy. Vinu sees a bad dream of doctor aunty screaming his name and wakes up suddenly. V says it was just a bura sapna. Vinu requests to speak to doctor aunty. V refuses saying its too late. Vinu says I wont to be like doctor aunty once again. that kid is SO attached to Sai and V still makes excuses. Its SO unfair. SO NOT OK.
Sai is distracted and forgets her purse as she is leaving to drop Sai in school. She is basically anxiously awaiting news of Vinu. Savi is very perceptive and notices Sai is awaiting a phone call.
she drops Savi at school. Its called "Devrast high school" .what stupid name is that?!
she sees P drop Vinu at school and Vinu rushes to hug Sai.
She asks Sai baba didnt come to drop you because she hopes to get info.
Vinu tells her about his bad dream and Sai consoles him.
Sai casually enquires about Ps health and says you should have taken rest instead of coming to school. She notices Sai's wound and Sai makes up some excuse. P asks her if V tied bandage. Sai gets interrupted by a phone call. Its V. She is super anxious and nonstop asks him questions.
V asks her to come meet him in person.
P watches and I guess also overhears Sai.
As soon as V shows up in cafe, Sai once again is hopefully waiting for Vs answer.
Ayesha nails the hopeful expression. V shows up and starts making up crap. He keep sbuilding her hopes up with bacche ka naam Vinu hai and Sai looks so excited and essentially he is narrating of the Venugopal he mistook for V. He talks about Seshadris and shows picture of venugopal and Sai looks at the photo and is super emotional. V watches her reaction and still doesnt feel bad or change his mind about lying. And then finally he breaks the news that this isnt Vinu but Venugopal- now Kartik seshadri. points out birthmark and says this isnt our Vinu's.
Sai is SO broken. Ayesha nails the changes in expression. from excited to muted to breakdown. the way she absorbs the info and the tears just trickle down her face- its heartwrenching....
Sai sees an aquarium in cafe burst into pieces as if it was bombed. Its completely random. She immediately grabs all the fish and puts them into a vase which had water. Its meant to be symbolic.
Sai is completely broken.She looks so lost. She collapses in tears. She says I didnt have you the first time I lost Vinu and now I have to go through this again. She just says WHY is all this happening. I am not a stone. I also feel pain. Even her question of why didnt you stop me- is only to say- Vinu would be alive but NOT about wanting to herself be with him.
She hugs V and he barely touches her.
P has spotted V Sai ka hug.
Precap is same V saying- ya i should have stopped you. And that is followed by new scene where Sai inviting V to sit in punya tithi puja of Vinu with her. V is shocked and glass breaks.
