even with a small hit...she is still considered the biggest ever. THE STAR.
😆did you see how todays heroines were struggling when questioned how long your dear one has ruled. .no thinking required..hema, sri and mads... the rest...ok, my gal has ruled for 6 monhts, ok wait,,,add another month, my gal...2yrs...ohhh wait...i think 1yr and 3 months...😆
and r hey...kahaani is a superior product...no doubt about that...i was just comparing a movie riding on heroines shoulder and the heroine delivers.
I don't know, stardom and box office are directly proportional, unless the film is really bad.
She has very few hits and very very few where she got the credit.
The intriguing fact about Madhuri is that she concentrated on masala films yet could not deliver. I would have viewed her differently if she did some arty or realistic movies. For example I would never judge a Tabu by her box office. She did lots of bad movies and flop movies, but she delivers good performances most of the time, you can always count on her.
I can never say the same for Madhuri. She neither delivers a great performance nor she ensures box office success.
Biggest film star? Not even the biggest female star. Hema, Rekha, Sridevi, Aish, way more superior in terms of popularity. But I respect your opinion.
Madhuri is an icon and no question about it. But acting was never her strength. It was dance that she was best at and she did do great in her prime.
