But nothing like reading the novel in its original language I believe. I hope one day I'll be able to understand it. All I can say now is that was a spiritual novel .. a journey that made me see life and religion in a different light.

No. I downloaded it in Urdu. It has Arabic letters so I can read. But how can I understand the meanings of the words? For this I searched for translation. It was translated in Arabic, but I failed to get a copy. So I downloaded the English translation. And it was great. smiley4

I guess It's available on YouTube as audio too.

I heard a lot about it. Especially about it's male character.

Very interesting discussion. I would like to contribute to this discussion. I feel Pakistani dramas have the capacity to do justice to the classic novels.

Pride and Prejudice- Bilal Ashraf and Sajal or Sohai

Alampanaah - Zahid Ahmed and Yumna

North and South - Wahaj Ali and Durre Fishan

Persuasion- Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed

Wives and Daughters - Farhaan Saeed and Iqra Aziz

North and South is a romantic novel based in England at the beginning of insustrialization. A love story between an industrialist and a preacher's daughter.

Pride and Prejudice: I would love to see Bilal and Hania

Persuation: Hiba and Hamza

Jane Eyre: Hamza/Danish and Sajal/Sabeena

Crime and Punishment can also be well made if made of limted scenes. Only billu can do justice on my mind . For girl maybe Sehar.

Pride and prejudice I was also thinking of Ayeza's name but it kinda might feel similar to her role in JEJ personality wise.

Other than that, I'm interested in seeing Hamza pair up with Hiba for sure.

Yes North and South television series is very good. Story is also good. Somewhat hate to love type of story. Old Doordarshan serial Farmaan was based on Alampanah, an Urdu Novel from India.
