I think it all comes down to the fact that 2013 was her year. She had 4 successful movies, and in each movie her character was different. From the sultry alina in race 2, the quiete geek naina in yjhd, the strong headed south girl in CE and then impulsive Gujrati in ramleela.

From somebody who the industry was ready to throw in the towel for the girl has come a long way. So I feel her awards came to celebrate her whole year.

She won more or less equal amount of awards for both CE and ramleela, for me they were both her strongest roles and made her act in a way she hasn't before, she even said they were her most difficult roles. Her role in CE was all comedy, which is difficult to pull off convingaly, and she did a great job. I thought her role I ramleela was her best yet, mainly because I have never seen her act more naturally than that before.

She still has things she can improve on, but every actress has things they can improve on. Sonakshi was fantastic in lootera, but she also has many things to learn and improve on, which is why I hope she starts choosing her roles more wisely because she has the potential.

This year will probably belong to someone else, we have vidya in bobboy jasoos that looks promising, priyanka in mary kom and anushka in BV and peekay, so lets see who will be deserved of the best actress award this year.

Well if your standards are overacting ka bandar Ms.Rai, then am sure she doesn't match! I think she is a decent actress in her movies! I didn't see anything pathbreaking in either her roles or Sona or Pari for that matter! They all are as good as their movies only! Nobody is anywhere near a Rani or a Kareena IMO!

But that being said she was the best thing abt all her movies & deserved to win all the awards! Sona was good, but not something that should have won ever friggin award! could DP have played a Pakhi>>> a big Yes!! Could Sona have played a Meena or a Leela>>>Damn no!

Tell me any major film critic who rated DP better than Sonakshi for their reviews

On other hand. Sonakshi's portrayal required perfect voice modulation which DP doesn't seem to get hold off even till now she is criticized for that. Sonakshi's performances have landed her an opportunity to perform at Broadway. What has Leela got DP besides this awards which are just show and glamour.

Also with current transformation of Sonakshi. She could easily pull of a Leela minus the lip lock. But can DP play charming and depressed Pakhi? NOPE.

Ramleela was terrible and DP was very average.

The other I watched 20 minutes of YDHJ and I couldn't tolerate it because of her poor acting and Ranbir's.

I was surprised because Ranbir is the same guy who did WUS or barfi.
