Shorter episodes doesn't necessarily mean less TRPs. Even last week when we saw the break up, the least TRP came with a 21min epi and not the shortest episode. This week we had an increase in TRP even though there were two short episodes last week.
Trp is a derivative of time spent and reach. Reach is good but our time spent is less. 14 mins out of 29 coz the episodes are shorter and ads are more or other shows eating our screentime. When Imlie had longer episodes the trp was high.
Did we analyze the breakdown of trp daywise? Was the trp for the shorter episode consistently lesser than the other days when we have avg length episodes?
There has to be a reason all zee and colors shows are telecasting longer episodes (25 mins+). Think about it. A longer episode means less ad revenue for the channel and PH and higher production cost and stressful for the team. If it did not translate into higher trps why would anyone give longer episodes? It makes no sense.
Also, time spent is less for Imlie coz we have more competition so people switch in between to watch other shows too. Sighhh.
I will ask one of these insta pages in their next ask me session this question. They may have an answer.
I hope Gul and SP realize we have enough reach to get trp only if we get longer episodes.
