Again another short episode jo shuru hote hi khatam ho gaya. Needless to say I zoned out in the entire family drama.

I enjoyed the scene of Imlie Surya in the bedroom where he was making sure they have everything they need to get the admit card re-issued. I loved the car conversation as well. Both looked nice for a change. Again, Imlie highlighted that she lost a lot due to Surya (not sure why the creatives keep bringing this up) but she acknowledged how he supported her and gave her hopes too.

Anjali the delulu is thinking Imlie Surya will come close if they go to Benaras - imagine bhi kar lia unka romance. I wished they used the song for this sequence and gave us a bit of dance too. It was the perfect opportunity they lost.

She came to the bus stop and locked Imlie in the washroom which is how Surya Imlie miss the bus tomorrow. I am glad Surya again reprimanded Anjali and did not tell her he loved her. He needs to find a more permanent solution to the chipku.

Cursory mention to how well Surya handled the situation with Tayi and he went and manaoed her too. I liked the use of the garden and him telling her that you can call me gadha but I am not one. That was such a cute statement he made.

@Sharada, just adding my two cents in the same post as I don't want to spam - Surya is not a consolation prize for Imlie. He is her husband. Yes, she loved Agastya but that does not mean she wont love Surya. I wish the writers had the time and inclination to write a better love story for Surya Imlie. We could see how both of them actually help each other heal and move on. We have seen second chances love stories in a lot of TV shows so this is not something unusual. Her loving Surya after Agastya's passing does not reduce or lessen her feelings for Agastya.

Trust me how much ever I loved Agastya, I am coming to respect Surya the past few days. That man's unwavering commitment to his marriage, the way he stands by Imlie without any expectation in return from her. Truth be told, Agastya has never taken a stand like this for Imlie. He was someone who would chicken out and look for short term solutions to his problems.

Surya on the other hand looks for long term solutions and is not afraid to go against his family for the right reasons. He is able to actually explain his reasoning to his family in a very positive and calm manner. The makers could have had a better love story with Surya as a character shining but the writing (specially how the love story is being handled) lacks a lot.

@kashish, yes they are shooting a night sequence. In all likelihood, Surya Imlie are stuck in Benaras and spend the night in jungle/ some place else like that. Hopefully we get a lot of couple scenes in the days to come.

I totally agree with you Ren. Surya is better now compared to Agastya - the way the stands for his promises and is standing with Imlie and on top of it he is even making others see his point of view. I loved the way he stopped his uncle and he himself went behind Tayiji to make her understand his point of view. The character arc of Surya is so good after the truth reveal. Never did he waver in his commitment to the marriage and never did he give any false promises to Anjali or anyone else. He is such a Khara Sona as Sonali Didi says.

That is why I seriously feel if the writers had enough time they can actually weave a better love story here - one which stands firm in face of difficulties. But who has the time now so they are going to do a shoddy job and show that Imlie will accept Surya as compromise when Surya deserves much more. Sigh. I just wish the show goes on till June at least so that we get a decent end. And can SP please give normal timings for the show. The 17 mins episode feels too less.

I went for a walk before the episode aired. When I returned, my mum was already watching it without me.

All I saw was Imlie and Surya looking amazing in blue so I ran to my room y’all so I wouldn’t get any spoilers.

They really could’ve included the song from Dhadkan, it would’ve been the perfect moment. But either way, this is inspiring me to make an edit, I’ll try my best ❤️

If we ignore Anjali’s goldfish wale expressions, I’d like to take a moment to appreciate how good Imlie and Surya looked. This is my favourite look of theirs, oh my god!

The sultriness in Imlie’s voice and the look in Surya’s eyes, I had to watch it twice because wow! They are leaving me speechless with their chemistry, I am forgetting how to use words properly. Aag laga di dil mein 🫴🏻🔥

As for the Reddy’s, I’m glad Surya called out Tayyi for her unfair treatment towards Imlie. CJ calling Imlie his favourite bro was cute. Nirmala and Malti need hobbies. Arjun and Chachi are adorable beings. Ohh and Chacha is such a bhabhi ka chamcha…

Surya and Imlie are starting to have really wholesome interactions, I like this cordial nature to their bond. The way he was making sure he had all her documents, really liking this side of him. Imlie’s way of thanking Surya was so heartfelt honestly, that sequence in the car was nice to watch.

Anjali needs to get a grip honestly, today she gave full on dayaan vibes with the way she had her pallu wrapped around her face. Poor Imlie got locked into a public bathroom.

Hopefully tomorrow we’ll get the bus sequence with the song and dance. My heart and ears have been yearning for some of those retro vibes.

See it is not entirely the fault of the channel or the telecast time issue also. The bigger issue is of the PH who does not want to give a better story, nor wants to spend any money and also not want to show more of scenes of the lead. See Sai and Addy are shooting daily toh why cant write their scenes keeping the family in the background.

We are not getting atleast 10 minutes of lead solo scenes toh story kaise aage badhegi. As it is they keep bringing up Agastya, Surya being the reason for his death etc. How will they ever show Imlie falling for Surya. Like someone (I think Sunaina) mentioned today that they have hardly shown Imlie feel the pinch that Surya shares Agastya ka face and that she has to live with him, a constant reminder that he is not Agastya. There was so much potential in this story (even if let's say SP interefered and made Surya a new character). I cannot deny how bad our own writers are. The weakest link in the whole show, the writers.

If the SP channel executives think this new show is going to get them the early evening slot then they are smoking. Sorry to say the FL is disastrous and I completely zoned off after her bashan in the second promo.
