Sridevi's untimely and sudden demise has left the entire nation in shock. The Bollywood legend passed away in Dubai on February 24, 2018, after accidentally slipping in her hotel bathtub.
Many Bollywood celebs paid their last respects to Sridevi on Wednesday and people from as far as Karnataka and Chennai had come to catch the last glimpse of their screen idol.
Now, as per the latest reports filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma is planning to make a film on Sridevi's life. Varma has not yet officially announced the news, but lyricist Sirasri who is a follower of RGV stated the same in a recent discussion in a Telugu TV channel debate.
He told the channel that Ram Gopal Varma will officially announce the biopic once the story will be finalised. Sridevi had worked with RGV in the Telegu movie Kshana Kshanam.
A few days back, Ram Gopal Varma had written an open letter to Sridevi's fans. He wrote, 'I know her life from the time I met her. I saw with my own eyes how her life was like a bird in the sky till her father's death and then became like a bird in a cage due to her overprotective mother. In those days actors used to be only paid in mostly black money and due to fear of tax raids her father used to trust friends and relatives and everyone of them betrayed her the moment her father died. Coupled with this the ignorant mother made many wrong investments in litigated properties and all those mistakes combined made her almost penny less by the time Boney came into her life.
Meanwhile, the Kapoor, Ayyappan and Marwah family released a statement post Sridevi's funeral. They said, "The past few days have been trying times for us as a family. Today, particularly, has been one of the hardest. We laid to rest a beautiful soul who has gone too soon. She leaves behind a legacy that is unique. Her talent was undeniable, her beauty unmatched and her ability to connect with the audience was legendary. Sri had the same connect with her family as well. The one thing that helped us all get through these last few days was the amazing amount of love and support from everyone be it her many colleagues, to her innumerable fans, her caring friends and loving family, from across the country and the world.''
