No one asked you to believe anything, you are free to form your opinion.
but stop ordering other people to obey your opinion as FACTS .
There are people on IF who may possess better knowledge than you.
Learn some humility.

As to your question: Sunil Dutt was big but not that big, Sanjay was openly caught and accused, to let him go scot free would have caused unmentionable furore in India. Their is a limit to the patience of people. after the 1993 blasts, loads of people died, there was anger and unrest against goverment inaction and their uncapability of rounding Dawood Ibrahim up. Letting a convicted criminal go would have been too much.

As you yourself say, law still exists here and India is not anarchy yet.

The fact that he was let go of 25 yr of life imprisonment to 5 yr of meagre jail term speaks volume of the influence exerted.
All other co accused, his accomplice have languished in jail for past 20 yrs while he became a superstar, got national award, made oodles of money and repented his crime in a life of luxury.

TADA charges were totally dropped, thereby reducing his jail term to 6 years and which was further reduced to 5 years. he served 1.5 yrs of it, only 3.5 yrs of it is left.

Now believe whatever you want to believe.

how hard is it to comprehend, no one disputed that either merely pointed out law was played at and that does not change reality??

And thanks for being rude to me, now I no longer need to hold back.

Please get an english teacher first who can tell you how to use a dictionary and tell the difference between opinion and fact and discussion and different points of view.

Oh and how is it when you don't have anything left to say you run around in circle and go back to beginning? is this your battle technique to tire opponents out ? its working.

Sorry to poke in..how can u expect Sanjay to be "free of the whole case" when he himself admitted that he bought those Kalashinikov's from the Key conspirator's brother?? It's been proven beyond doubt that he took the help of his friends to dispose those illegal possessions. That's not a toy gun to throw away in a scrap yard.
He's lucky enough to get the minimum punishment under the arms act..If not for his influential father,he wouldn't have even got bail..he still has blood on his hand. Better he atones for it.
