How close were they?

Ranbir did say on Kapil show that as a child Ridhima had a poster of Salman and he used to have a big poster of Sanjay Dutt.He was a Sanjay Dutt fan.And hence the resemblance in their mannerisms.

Sanjay Dutt is a fantastic actor! He truly did justice to both his parent's acting talents.

But he has gone through so much in his life. His mother died from cancer one day before his movie debut, his wife died of cancer leaving behind a young daughter, his drug addiction and jail episodes.
