Part 7

Abhira was going through the papers of her next case but her heart was not only at the next level but also feeling the changes that were going through in her life........Suddenly a smile formed on her face but she knew that lot of changes were yet to come in her life.....She glanced at her and her mother's photograph.....For the longest time it was just her and her mother together and now suddenly her family was increasing......Till she grew up and was ready for college she lived with her mother in Mussorie.....And for college she moved to Udaipur.....She just hoped her mother would always be around to guide her and help her........She noticed Kairav standing at her door and she gestured him to come inside......Kairav sat next to her and signaled her to tell him.....

Abhira (taking a huge breath)-Mumma akeli ho jayegi mere jaane ke baad mamu....Unhe lagta hai ki mujhe dikhta nai hai but I can see everything......

Kairav (explaining)-Tu chinta mat kar bilkul bhi beta....Mai aur Muskaan dono Akshara ke saath hai......Aur mai na usse ab bas Mussorie kabhi nai jaane dooga.....Aur kuch ?

Abhira (hesitatingly)-Aisa lag raha hai jaise sab badal raha hai .......Sab kuch change ho raha hai....

Kairav (smiling)-Hira beta life mai hamesha sab kuch change hote hi rehta hai.....Change always happens,sometimes hume pata hota hai aur kabhi kabhi hame andesha bhi nai hota aur sab kuch change ho jaata hai........Tujhe pata hai teri mumma sirf 3 months ki thi jab teri Nani Naira passed away...Hame laga tha ki hum picnic ja rahe hai par hamari toh life hi change ho gayi thi uss din...........You always have to accept change...Aur ye toh accha change hai.......You are getting a family.....Bada wala.....Relax Abhira.....You come from long line of women jo hamesha fighter rahi hai,change ke accepting......

Abhira (hesitatingly)-Par Mamu kabhi kabhi change mai poorani cheeze aur insaan piche choot jaate hai......Mai Mumma ko kabhi khona nai chahti......

Muskaan (smiling)-Kabhi nai khoi gi tu teri mumma ko....Infact ek aur Ma ko gain kar rahi hai......

Abhira smiled hearing Kairav and Muskaan.....She got back to work on the case in which she was assisting......Suddenly she heard door bell ring and she was astonished...She looked at her watch....It was 2 in the night....Who was it at this time.....Abhira took her hockey stick and went downstairs.....She saw Abhir and Shikhar along with Kairav Mamu already there..... She signaled her brothers to open the door.......Kairav opened the door and was astonished to see Ruhi standing there......Abhir and Abhira looked at each other.....Abhira hated Ruhi and was not even interested in seeing her face..... Ruhi went ahead to hug Akshara....She missed her masi the most and even Aarohi missed her but Akshara maintained a distance from them.....Abhir and Shikhar knew that Abhira was angry.....

Ruhi (smiling)-Abhira congratulations !!

Abhira stormed off to her room....Kairav tried to go to her but Akshara stopped him and went to Abhira herself......Nobody had invited Ruhi.....While she knew that Kairav had asked Manish and Suwarna to get some of Naira's Jewellery....But they didnt know that how the news of Abhira's wedding had leaked...While Akshara understood that someone from Udaipur could have informed Manish and Suwarna but Akshara had already decided that she would not let Goenkas or anybody related to them interfere in their life again......She would not let anybody ruin Abhira's life like the same way hers was ruined when she was part of that family......When she entered Abhira's room she saw her daughter standing in the balcony angrily.......She hugged Abhira from behind.....

Akshara (trying to calm her down)-Abhira maine ya kisi ne Ruhi ko invite nai kiya tha.......Your mamu asked for your nani's jewellery but he didnt inform the reason.....Shayad Udaipur mai se kisi ne bata di ya ho beta......

Abhira (angrily)-Than ask her to leave Ma.....I will not tolerate her in this house.......She and her family are trying to gain entry back into your life

Akshara (explaining)-Mujh par bharosa hai na tujhe......Woh log mere liye,woh chapter mere liye khatam ho chuka hai beta......But we cant ask her to leave....Mamu is putting her up in outhouse.....Please shaant ho ja.....Mai aabhi Aarohi se baat karti hu alright.....Par pehle tu shaant ho ja beta.....Tere liye itna gussa theek nai hai.....And plus kal Vidya and Manisha ji aa rahe hai.....

Abhira (scrunching her nose)-Why ?

Akshara (smiling)-Engagement se pehle kuch shagun dena hai.....And plus teri finger ki naap lene hogi and we would need Armaan's size.....Ye sab chod tu mujhe ye bata ki tu khush hai na ? Is rishte se ?

Abhira (trying to hide her smile)-Hmm,aap so jao......itni raat ko mat jaago......Baaki subah dekh le ge.......

Soon came the morning and along with it came breakfast......Akshara had called Aarohi early morning and Aarohi had confirmed that somebody from Udaipur had called.....Akshara had made it pretty clear that neither she nor Abhira wanted any of them at the wedding,she also remarked to Aarohi that she will not ask Ruhi to leave Udaipur but Kairav bhai will not have Ruhi in his house......Aarohi felt sad seeing the state of things between all of them....Abhira was her only neice and she couldnot be at her wedding.......Aarohi had talked to Ruhi and asked her to move to hotel and if possible maitain some distance from Abhira......She was getting married and she didnt want Abhira to stress further.....Abhira was getting ready when Vidya and Manisha came by......Manisha saw Abhira's certificates and awards and felt like she was perfect match for Armaan....But she was also stunned to see Abhira's dance competition prize......

Manisha (stunned)-Aksharaji yeh Abhira ki prize hai dance ki ?

Akshara (smiling)-Yes ,Abhira is a trained dancer,classical....

Manisha (smiling)-Wow !!

Vidya (explaining)-Tumhe pata hai Manisha,Akshu ki mumma,bahut badi professional classical dancer thi......Bahut stage shows kiye the unhone.....Aur Abhira un par hi gayi hai.......

Manisha (laughing)-Abhira jitni trained dancer,Armaan utna hi boora dancer.......

Soon Abhira came downstairs and sat besides Akshara....Akshara excused herself to see the staff for tea and coffee....Meanwhile Manisha and Vidya gave Abhira the shagun for the engagement......Abhira felt like lot of expectations and responsiblities seeing all these things....Vidya made it out from her expressions......She signaled her to calm down.....Vidya soon took the ring size of Abhira.....Akshara smiled seeing the interactions between Vidya,Manisha and Abhira.....

Manisha (smiling)-Abhira tum jitni acchi dancer ho na beta,Armaan utna hi boora dancer hai......Kya tum gaati bhi ho aapni mumma ki tarah......?

Abhira (nervously)-Aunty agar mai gaogi na toh aas padoss ke log bhaag jayege......

Manisha (complaining)-Ye toh galat baat hai tum jethani sa ko Ma bol sakti ho toh mujhe chachi kehne mai kya problem......Aab tum uss family ka hissa ho......

Akshara was happy seeing both all of them together....Later in the evening,Abhira was busy with her work......The entire day Akshara,Muskaan and Ishaani had kept her busy with engagement shopping and now finally her work was completing.....Abhira mentally reminded herself to complete all the work on time...Just because she was getting married didnot mean that she slack off on work....Work was very important to her.....The cases were very important......While she was in her thoughts about her work and how she was going to manage it all further when suddenly her phone rang......It was Armaan.....

Abhira (smiling)-Is waqt call kiya ?

Armaan (smiling)-Mil sakte hai ?

Abhira (surprised)-Is waqt ? Par kaha ?

Armaan (smiling)-Nazar ootha ke niche bhi dekh lo Abhira.....Wait kar raha hu mai tumhara......Akshara mam se permission le chuka hu mai....

Abhira (smiling seeing him down)-Give me two minutes...aati hu......

Abhira got ready and went downstairs.....She saw Akshara and Armaan whispering something to each other...She nodded her head from side to side......Armaan and Akshara were unbelievable.....They were conspiring with each other about something.....But she was happy,happy that she had found somebody who would respect her mother and not disrespect her for her past......She made her presence feel to both of them......

Abhira (suspiciously)-Kya khichadi pak rahi hai aap dono ke beech mein ?

Akshara (trying to hide)-Kuch bhi toh nai.....

Armaan (hiding his smile)-Ha aur nahi toh kya....Chale aab please......

Akshara smiled seeing inquisitive Abhira.....It was her daughter's birthday tomorrow.....And Armaan wanted to take her out and be the first one to wish her......Akshara had smiled thinking finally somebody would atleast wish her daughter.......Abhira never liked to celebrate her birthday,because she shared her birthday with Abhinav.....She missed her father terribly and hence never celebrated it......She had informed Armaan about all this and he had told her that he would not hurt Abhira.....Armaan had seen Abhira's birthday in the employee file and wanted to wish her first but when Akshara told her the truth his heart broke apart for Abhira.....She was so so strong....

Abhira was surprised when they stopped for ice cream at the cafe....She smiled widely....How did Armaan knew that she loved ice cream......She signed Armaan as to what was happening.....He opened the door for her......Abhira looked at the time......It was almost going to be 12....It was her birthday........Wait was that what Armaan and Akshara talking about........!!

Abhira (smiling)-Is waqt ice cream ? Theek toh ho na ?

Armaan (smiling)-Kyu mai tumhe ice cream date par nai la sakta......?

Abhira (questioning)-Raat ke 11:45 ko ?

Armaan (smiling)-Humm maine toh suna tha tumhe ice cream bahut pasand hai.......

Abhira (laughing)-Waise maine toh aaj ye bhi suna ki tum bahut boore dancer ho........

Armaan (smiling slowly)-Ma ne bataya kya....Come one na......Yes I am a terrible dancer....Bachpan se bahut koshish ki hai but no never learnt how to dance.......

Abhira (smiling)-Thats alright.....Ab sab ko sab kuch toh nai aa sakta na.......My mother is a fantastic singer but mai bahut besurri hui......

Soon the ice cream came and Armaan looked at the clock.....it was 12 her birthday.....He had promised Akshara that he would not hurt Abhira in any manner.....Soon Abhira found a bouquet of lilies infront of her........She loved lilies....She smiled seeing them......She took the boquet from Armaan's hand......Armaan smiled seeing Abhira smiling and happy.....Abhira shot a questioning look at Armaan who sat in the chair next to her.....

Armaan (wishing her)-Happy Birthday......And I am sorry that I am not repecting your wishes........

Abhira (smiling)-THank you......Ma told you everything didnt she....?

Armaan (smiling)-Abhira life na bahut choti hoti hai.....I cannot understand your pain.....however I do know that everybody in your life would want to celebrate this occassion.....Your father would be more than happy that he shares his occassion with you......I know that him being absent makes it painful for you.....But think about how sad Akshara mam or your papa would be when you dont spend it at all.....

Abhira (tearfully)-Thank you so much for the wishes......

Armaan (wiping her tears)-Its happy day.......No tears please.....

Abhira (smiling)-How did you know ke lilies mere favoraite hai ?

Armaan (nodding)-I didnt know that......But I do know that you are allergic to roses.......

Abhira (inquisitive)-How do you know that ?

Armaan (smiling)-Around 2 years ago somebody had by mistake sent you the bouquet of red roses on your table.....And you had gottne very sick....Allergic reaction...And you didnt make it to work for almost 4 days......

Abhira (touched)-Tumhe abhi yaad hai yeh sab ?

Armaan (chuckling)-Ye sab yaad rakhne ka ek karan hai.....One you never almost fall ill and two that is the only time ki tum jab tumne chuti li thi.......

Abhira (hesitaingly)-Can I ask you something Armaan ?

Armaan (encouraging)-Batao kya baat hai......?

Abhira (curious)-How long have you been in love with me ? Truthfully......

Armaan (smiling)-3 years.....

Abhira (touched)-Kabhi bataye kyu nai mujhe ?

Armaan (smiling)-We worked very well togther.....Mujhe ye balance spoil nai karna tha....And plus tum kya feel karti thi ye mujhe kabhi nai pata tha.....Himmat nai hui thi...

Abhira (asking)-Aur agar mai ye rishte ke liye mana kar deti toh ?

Armaan (smiling)-Toh kya toh kuch nai.....Pyaar na Abhira unconditional hota...Conditions rakhke nai kiya jaate.....Love gives you freedom it doesnot bind you.....Agagr tum mujhe mana karti toh mai uss pyaar ko aapne saath rakhkar jeeta.....Love is not something that can be forced........

Abhira was touched with his honest confession.....That was all she had in her mind at that point.....Armaan received a messaage from Akshara that everything was ready......Just as Abhira was finishing her ice cream he noticed some near her mouth,and slowly wiped it with her thumb.....The moment she looked into his eyes,they shared a moment.....Abhira knew she was melting and hence looked away since she received a call from her brothers........Once outiside home,she noticed that it was pitch dark.....The house was never pitch dark.......She put her hand on the switches and she heard a loud "SUPRISE".....That is what planning was going on since today morning....She looked around to see if Ruhi but her dada Shikhar nodded in a NO.......

Shikhar hugged her tightly.....She was not just like his sister but was little baby to him......He was 10 when she was born........Next in line was Abhir....Abhir had noticed that she was repeatdely glancing at Abhinav's photo........Abhir decided to talk to her afterwards......She lastly hugged Akshara.....Who hugged her tightly........

Akshara (smiling,tearfully)-Tujhe pata hai,tu meri zinda rehne ki wajah thi......Warna tere papa ki jana ke baad shyad mar hi jaati mai.....Tu thi isiliye toh mujhme jaan rahi thi......Tu mera gurror hai samjhi......My last memory of Abhinav......

Abhira tearfully hugged Akshara tightly.......Her mother was her everything.....Kairav smiled seeing the mother daughter.....He knew about Abhira's fears for Akshu.......But he had decided to never let Akshu alone.....
