Daily Episode Discussion Threads will be created and maintained by the DT every day. The previous EDT's will be locked, but you can access these threads by clicking the "episode discussion" tag below the title of the thread.

Please keep discussions limited to the episodes of that day as far as possible. Some references to previous episodes can be allowed for the sake of viable discussions.

A few tips to keep in mind while commenting on this thread

  • Please use this thread ONLY to discuss the episodes, keeping chatting to the minimum. Refrain from bringing in off-topic, BTS (unless it is related to the show/episode), actor's SM posts, fans' SM posts or an actor's projects outside of this show. Such posts if found will be trashed and members can receive a warning. All such updates can either be shared in the Social Media thread or the character/actorโ€™s AT.

  • Please do not post entire episode links cause this will be considered as copyright infringement.

  • Please do not quote large posts/ posts with links/images/videos as these unnecessarily make the page heavy and difficult to load. You can edit the quote to the portion you are responding to or simply tag the member to respond to their post.

  • Please refrain from using harsh, rude, or offensive language or hurting the sentiments of fellow members or any specific groups.

  • Please do not bash or name-call/label any actor or character. Fun names or nicknames for characters are not allowed. Please refer to the characters with respect since these are mythological characters that have religious significance and are revered by many.

  • Please refrain from bashing or engaging in a fight with fellow members or fan groups. Ganging up against minority opinions or shaming members for posting their opinions/ moral policing is not okay. Avoid name-calling, using derogatory emojis or code names, instigating fan groups, making indirect snide remarks on another fan base/ member.

  • Using profanity or abusive language is strictly disallowed.

  • Do not make discriminatory posts shaming or mocking any particular group based on religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, class, caste, race, ethnicity, ability, intellect or any other form of discrimination.

  • Please do not bring in comparisons with other shows or actors playing the same character in a different show. You can use the Ramayan Canon Thread for discussions on the text/ canon divergence.

  • One Liners/Short Discussion: Detailed discussions on the episode can be conducted on the EDTs only, please post all one liners / short sentences / paragraphs regarding the episode in the Daily Episode Discussion Thread. If repetitive topics are found, they will be merged with the DDT.

  • For additional rules please read the Rules.

In addition to these rules, IF CoC and Forum rules will apply at all times.

For any further assistance or concerns, please contact the DT of the forum.

Good morning jai shri ram

Yday episode the only best action was chandrahas returns to shivji.

But all the dialogues were perfect

Ramji showed ravan his place.

And again a word for nikitin

He expressed his sadness perfectly Well.

I m not sure yday part was in any ramayan or any books but it was well executed

Here is the clip for those who missed chandrahas return

I missed Tuesday Episode, looks like many enjoyed it.

About yesterday's episode, whenever Lord Shiva appears, it's a delight. Another case of perfect casting!

Ravan threw Chandrahas like throwing a stick for a fetch game, bhai, astra fenk raha hai, kuch toh energy daal. Lord Ram could complete a long dialogue by the time the shastra reached midway, they were just 5 feet apart I guess, laws of Physics do not apply to ITV smiley14

Best part was how the astra was called back by Lord Shiva smiley16 and all frozen on the battlefield smiley4

Back in the palace, Ravan looked like he hadn't bathed for a month smiley36 gosh, he needs a makeover real bad. My Yellowdari made an appearance looking extra yellow, did she rub her ubtan on Mehu's face too while he was sleeping? Because he looked yellow too smiley17 The moment he woke up, he started overacting, bas kar beta ab. The actress is really good, I like to watch her smiley20 80% of the episode was dialogues, kitna bolate hai sab smiley18

Meghu is a Lankan warrior, what's up with the African warrior getup in the precap? And doesn't he perform the pooja when he goes to fight Lakshman? Yeh abhi bich mein kaise?

Background fighters are copy-paste. Every alternate pair is same, better than the dandiya players though smiley39

Jai Shri Ram

A good read about the sequence of events and how tv shows twisted those

Hmmm that's interesting.

But I m Little confused now

Those who have read both VR and Rcm know the sequence but those who don't know follow or rather understand what is shown in well different ways with some mirch masala

So what to say to that as some parts r khichdi I feel as rest does match up to story.

Then again those who don't know the books nor seen previous ramayan they will only understand what's shown now isn't it

So the circle continues

Yup that's what they meant. People take these shows seriously and tend to believe a lot of things. See RS Ramayan mixed up too but since it was the 1st one people still take that as a reference( like it was authentic)

Hmm maybe it wasn't fully accurate but still it was believable that's why I guess it's taken as reference.

Unlike some others which totally mislead at least it was better. And even this one is good except for few hiccups here there ๐Ÿ˜‚

If you watch RS Ramayan, there was one epi where RS did a segment explaining the chronology because it was largely taken from 4 Ramayanas - VR, RCM, Kamban (Tamil) and Krutivas (Bengali). This clarification was done due to a confusion viewers had in south india as most versions here don't have nagpaash incident at all. Given how many versions we've had I think the amount of research they did was commendable as it catered nationwide and such explanations only helped in building the trust.

Personally I feel, as long as they don't twist characters, the learnings it has to give along with what and why, when it happened can be slightly ignored if everything else is rightfully shown. Like I said, RS stitched a very believable story and most future Ramayans pretty much followed and it wasn't questioned, which is fair I guess.

I was trying to remember this only as rs himself was explaining few things but totally slipped my mind

Rest I agree with you
