NZ did hammer Uganda. But that is little consolation for a team which has always been consistent at the big tournaments. They would have been disappointed. Trent Boult would be playing his last T20 WC game and would want to bow out on a high. Southee and a few others might also want to do the same. It is a WC game and there is a lot of pride at stake. PNG also would want to give a good account of themselves which has been missing after their first game against the Windies.

 It is the second last game of the league stage. Both NZ and PNG are out of contention. They have been knocked out. NZ were found wanting against Afghanistan and Windies. That meant they were knocked out as the other two teams have been unbeaten so far. PNG on the other hand have been winless so far as they lost to Uganda in this group. And now have a huge task ahead of them.
