Rohit Shetty is currently basking in the success of his latest release Simmba. The Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan starrer has already crossed the Rs. 200 crore mark at the box-office and is showing no signs of slowing down. The director has also reportedly began work for his next project titled Suryavanshi, in which he will collaborate with Akshay Kumar for the first time. The film is expected to go on floors in April this year.

Many media outlets had reported of a rift between Shah Rukh Khan and Rohit Shetty after Diwale underperformed at the box-office. Diwale was Rohit Shetty's second collaboration with Shah Rukh Khan and it also starred Varun Dhawan, Kriti Sanon and Kajol in key roles. In an interview with a leading news portal, the director reacted to the claims of a fall out with Shah Rukh Khan. He said, "Not really. No, actually you know what happens is on a technical basis people don't realise, if you see the titles of Simmba, the colour, the DI (of the film) everything has happened at Red Chillies where Zero was also being worked, and that is Shah Rukh's company.

The director further added, "So, agar aisa kuch hoga (his alleged fight with SRK) then why would I work there. There's nothing like that. Nothing. It's just that we've not done a film together toh abhi yeh ho gaya ki jhagda ho gaya hai. That happens.

On the work front, Shah Rukh Khan is all set to star in the Rakesh Sharma biopic tentatively titled Saare Jahaan Se Achha. The film is expected to release in the first half of 2020.
