My God, this was hauntingly beautiful OS, Stuti! And equally gorgeous cover, Maria! Great job, both of you smiley32

The OS started out on a seemingly happy note, with girl-meet-boy in an accidental bump. But then the way you have woven mystery around him to then finally divulging just enough details of this charming departed soul of ASR, took my breath away. The hint that ASR was roaming around the earth so he could take Khushi's soul away with him, gave me chills! Beautifully penned OS, congrats for being the runner up smiley31

Thank you for the compliments smiley10. Yes, while it was meant to be mystery / thriller all along... I wanted it to feel like a simple romance until the end when the truth is revealed. I wanted the ending to feel both romantic (souls departing together to have a happily ever after in heaven sorta)... but also terrifying (bcz of Khushi dying within a few days of meeting an unknown entity) and I'm glad to know that I managed to get it across smiley4. Breath-taking... but in a chilling manner - that's the perfect description... so thank you again smiley27.

The excellent cover complimented the theme well. Both the book cover and theme added depth to each other. Great creative work by Maria. smiley27

In India Forums, there are expert fan fiction writers and a few original writers who have writing as their inherent quality.

If you give any theme to them, they will excel in that narrative; Stuti, you are one of them.

Your meticulous attention to detail transformed basic descriptions into striking imagery that added intrigue to your plot.

Another great quality of your writing is choosing the right words for the right occasion, that made your writing stand out. smiley10

Woah! All this praise... especially coming from one of our esteemed judges... made me really happy smiley4.

Interestingly, I had offered Maria two plotlines to choose from... one in both themes of the contest... and the stories were in completely different genres. I like to keep experimenting... pushing myself to keep trying new things... and I'm glad at least some of my trials are going right smiley10.

I'll admit I sometimes flounder for the correct word... having to stop and google stuff... so it's a good feeling to know that it makes a difference from the reader's perspective as well. Having started my writing journey with poems... where the exact word can make a huge difference in terms of rhyme and rhythm... I've learnt to place a lot of emphasis on getting the words right.

I think you have a way with words too... and I for one would like to read something from you. Do link me to some of your written works (even if they're in a different fandom) smiley9. And thank you so much for the appreciation smiley27.

This is very interesting; you offered two plotlines to your graphicer to prepare book covers and experiment with different genres to give shape to your imagination. It displays your perfectionist side, which is applaudable.

Choosing the ideal word for a given situation in the story not only establishes the writer's distinct style but also lends that expression a certain beauty. Yes...I concur that poetry allows us to write in a rhythmic manner and challenges us to choose the ideal word to express our desired viewpoint. Poets always enjoy expressing all their ideas in lyrical form, which allows the reader to think more deeply.smiley1

My initial passion was writing poetry, and my subsequent love was writing stories!smiley1

Thank you for the good words. smiley27

Oye! You can't leave us in the middle. Where is page 6 and was he really a ghost? How did Khushi die? You said Arnav and Khushi offered you an FF. They were not wrong. This certainly calls for an extension.

So many twists and turns. I sort of expected Arnav to be a ghost. But, I did not expect Khushi's death at the end.

You can certainly make it into a three or 4 shot Stuti. Try.

Maria, such a lovely book cover. I am so happy to see the efforts (of graphicer and the writer) went into making the story and book cover blend into each other. Stuti's idea did wonders to this contest.

Cheers..
