"The first step in love is losing your head.
After the petty ego you then give up your life and bear the calamity.
With this behind you; proceed: Polish the ego's rust from the mirror of yourself."

~ Fakhr al-Din Iraqi

A very thought provoking Crooner, Archu! Brilliant take on the "dor" that binds them together. Loved Kalpana's and Shweta's creations, too! For me, the episode was one better played out in reverse. Peeling back the layers back to front to reveal what is beneath. Ego, pride, everything aside, at the end of the day, there remains one absolute: the truth. No matter how much we run from ourselves, from our beings, the truth never rests. It comes out front and center, each and every time; omnipresent. Today the truth was revealed yet again in silences, actions and in words. First, to the words...

Over the weekend, I had said that Arnav's purpose now is to neutralize Khushi's ego...make her completely aware of her "haq" as his wife. In the office scene today, Arnav knew exactly what Khushi's reaction was going to be--he even anticipated her arrival which is why he had his back turned to her. He knew she would not come "home." He is essentially holding the mirror--ah, InDi, here we go-- up to her, yet again. He wants her to have complete awareness of who she is in this relationship. He wants her to step outside her pride and examine what this relationship means to her. Her reminder to him about everything getting better soon--now 11days-- is front and center here...She doesn't want to be interrupted, is hell bent on writing her own destiny--that term right out of her own husband's dictionary on life-- on her terms with no place in it for him...that is how hurt she is! Throwing things around...all part of her hurt. Her truth. Until she lets go of her pride and comes clean to him about why everything will be better in 11days, he will continue to hold that mirror up to her. There is no place for egos in a marriage or in love--window climbing, dishes bus-ing Arnav Singh Raizada--knows that now. Before they can truly embark on the journey of what it is to be married, they have to be on a level playing field...that is what he is creating for her now!!

Silences and actions: Isn't it interesting, though, that their ultimate "truth" only comes out in their silences; and today was no different. Foregoing all things electricity, water, house, what remained was what they've always felt and always known. A brilliant continuation from yesterday...

'I know this must come as something of a surprise to you, since all I've ever done is scorn you and degrade you and taunt you, but I have loved you for several hours now, and every second, more. I thought an hour ago that I loved you more than any woman has ever loved a man, but a half hour after that I knew that what I felt before was nothing compared to what I felt then. But ten minutes after that, I understood that my previous love was a puddle compared to the high seas before a storm. Your eyes are like that, did you know? Well they are. How many minutes ago was I? Twenty? Had I brought my feelings up to then? It doesn't matter.'
~William Goldman, The Princess Bride

The Habit.

Tug and pull...She can't stay away from him, he won't rest until he sees her. All under the pretense of a game. That is their truth. Arnav Singh Raizada climbs through a window just to see his beloved... and to tell her off!πŸ˜† Only after she hears his command to sleep, does she close her eyes. He clears up her plates and her cups...Arnav Singh Raizada, the husband, does something which he has never done as a brother or a son. All for his love. Removing traces of what she was upto the whole night thru...Leaving nothing behind for the elders to suspect. Ultimately, this game is just about the two of them...no one else is required. No one else invited. That is the truth. Seeing her slumped on the chair, he lifts her ever so gently--as he always does--to place her onto their bed. His eyes never once leaving her face, he takes in all of her...And then, her hand on his shirt. The very scene reminiscent of that hillside when he revived her after her fall. The instant where possession and togetherness became one. The moment when he knew he cannot live without this woman. Ever. She is heart and soul to him. She is his rhapsody. That is the truth.

He gently removes her hand from his shirt...But she never lets go...now his hand becomes a prized possession for her as she sleeps. Gently lying down next to her so as to not disturb her, he remembers yet again who she is to him: his strength, his peace, his everything. Glancing into that face, all he sees is innocence. Glancing into his heart, all he sees is love. Silences speak yet again, as his eyes soften at the sight of her. The fighter sleeps. Her defenses now finally laid to rest, he can't get enough of her. Her face and hands give away everything she has hidden inside. This is all he needs to know. It is the truth. The calm settles. Arnav Singh Raizada can finally close his own eyes.

Arnav Rekha all but diminished, the morning brings a new Khushi...Her legs wrapped around his body, he senses her before he even sees her...Takes her in again. "Taekwondo Khushi", yes, hilarious, but ultimately so comfortable. In her bed, at peace, and with the man she loves. Today we get a definition for their silence. Why their silences matter: Habit. Aadat. The familiar has now become intrinsic to them. Yes, Khushi knows her Laad Governor--her Arnav-better than anyone else. If he can call her out on how she sleeps, she can also remind him that he can't sleep without that hand slipped in hers; denying it, he is shown the evidence. Pride, ego, all of it aside, finally, the most important "habit" is acknowledged...by both. To Priya's words...Egos Thy Name is Desire...They seek solace in the only being who has ever mattered, and today they finally admitted it to each other. Arnav's goal now to create the aadat for her at the RM!!! And this is the ultimate truth.

Other thoughts:

~Anjali: The plot thickens as NK brings a smile to her face. Raksha Bandhan will have its own flavor this year!

~Soh jao, "Oye"...Reference to the dupatta and chai...HOLDING THE DOOR
OPEN for her!! Just loved it!!! What a gentleman he is!!

~Khushi's reaction to the money and her "What The" just made the yin-yang connection complete for me.

~The slap, the stare, swagger and all things deadly ASR...cue background music, stat!!

~Pati ka ghar hi ghar hota hai...How long will she be able to make excuses?
~Babuji looks so good!!

~Very few men can pull that shade of purple with confidence...ASR, the true metrosexual...❀️ it!!!

The performances were superlative. I have to commend Sobti for being so consistent in his expressions. His emoting in that bedroom scene right as he falls asleep was exactly the same as what we saw in ShantivaanπŸ‘πŸ‘...Sanaya seemed to enjoy the office scene throughly. But what is up with that eye-sore of a dress!?🀒 Moving on, I have mixed reactions to the precap. More on that tomorrow, I guess...

Priya, my thoughts and prayers are with all of you! Miss you loads! Love you, hun!!πŸ€—πŸ€—

InDi, thank you so much; I still can't believe it!😲 Beena Di!!!! So well deserved!!! Loved your post yesterday! And SK, you always bring it home!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!πŸ€—

Tuze jeevan ki dor se bandh liya hain
Tere zulm-o-sitam sar aakhon pe...
Arnav is a man on mission⭐️...he wants khushi to accept their relationship and go back to RM.
He is ready to go to any extent for this purpose...
A relationship between a man and wife needs love, respect, trust, faith between them ...Arnav and khushi have gained Trust now it is the turn of developing faith...
I think the CV's are going to show how faith is established between Arnav-Khushi πŸ˜ƒ

Archu, a wonderful Crooner with lovely quotes πŸ‘ πŸ‘
" Role Reversal "
Her " Haye Devi Maiyya " being replaced by " What The " & his constant scowl being replaced by a very " pleasing smile " Her acceptance that she can also write her own destiny. Thanks to Janaki & Hitesh for this dialogue πŸ˜ƒ
And as u said Archu, throwing around things in the office just like her better half.
I wish her face had softened a bit when he said " I guess yeh meri adat hai "
Congrats to the " Stars of the Thread " Anjali & Beena πŸ‘ πŸ‘ ⭐️ ⭐️ ; thanks to my Diva for spinning a beautiful tale daily with pictures πŸ€— & Congrats to Suba fr being the Star of the Thread for the previous Crooner πŸ‘ πŸ‘ ⭐️ ⭐️
And to our Mr.Perfect, looking hot & sexy in that purple shirt alongwith those killer smiles 😍

he let his fingers trail gently over her palm and rested his hand on hers as he snuggled deeper into his pillow and lay for a moment just looking at her face. she slept on. a calm stole across his features, he inhaled long, his eyelids drooped shut, not a single line of tension or worry anywhere, only a quiet, a sense of coming home. her fingers curled over his as if on cue.

a silence fell. yet i strained my ears to catch the faint sound of music i thought i could hear playing beyond the silence. reminded me of those moments while listening to a western classical symphony when all sound is diminished: pianissimo, soft very soft, when you think there's no sound, but there is, under all the surrounding silence there it is, sweet, even, holding on resolute. and gradually the conductor picks up the thread of that barely audible strain and raises it all the way back to forte and crescendo and even above. that fine thread of sound, the dor of life, of continuity.

i listened for that, and i fancy in the few seconds i was granted to look at them in that state of bliss on the narrow ridiculous bed , i did hear its quiet melody. it was in the ease of their breathing, the relaxed lines of their bodies as they lay together; in sleep forgetting all their troubles, all their ego, their sturm und drang.

just minutes before they were sparring, he was quite irritable in his sleep deprived state. she had slumped into deep into slumberland instantaneously at his bark of "so jao." after an initial "oye" and "what the f-" he'd cleaned up the mess, carried her to her bed, was not as gentle as you'd think he'd be when he saw her hand clutching his collar, was all set to tuck her in and leave the not so customary window way, when in her sleep she pulled his hand and with full ownership tucked it under her cheek refusing to let go.

he looked at her and knew he had to give in, he wanted to give in. he lay down without disturbing her and reached for her hand.

the music returned, growing louder but delicately. why does she sleep like a taekwondo queen here, he wondered in his head. why do you sleep like that here, you don't sleep like that at home, he asked her as she woke up. she was taken aback to find him before her, sharing her bed. caught her off guard, so what, she snapped back, it's my habit, i don't say anything to you about holding my hand and sleeping.

the charming discovery of his hand grasping hers. a funny joy just flitting across his face: i guess, it's a habit of mine.

the music moved up, only a notch though and as delightfully as the hint of a smile on her face at his "aadat."

he left with a forte command to her to go right back to sleep.

by the end of the episode the "amezing" building of a crescendo. where she grew more and more angry, she yelled, she threw things, she asserted she was the master of her own destiny, and all this in the board room of his newly acquired company. the angrier she got, the happier he looked, even offering to help her pick up and chuck the printer. he looked the happiest when she refused to give in to his threat and said she was not coming home with him, he could go ahead and do what he liked. in fact, he'd looked somewhat crestfallen when he misunderstood and thought she had taken his offer.

arnav singh raizada has worked a very asr plan. yell on, mrs raizada, in fact, now stomp out, while he holds the door open for m'lady.

just when you thought the climax had been reached, crash bang, another slap. how dare you call the lady "item," she is my wife.

but who can blame the hapless soul for not getting that? who passes indecent proposals to their own wife via staff? who razes their wife's family home to the ground? who cuts off the electricity and water in their wife's home where three elderly people live?

why, the man with a plan, of course. over whose hand her fingers curl without thinking. it's such a habit.

i am not imagining things, there is music playing beyond the silence, just where the pot of water waits. πŸ˜†

yeh shaam mastani, madhosh kiye jaay, mujhe dor koi khinche teri ore liye jaaye. ta ra ra ra ra lala la la lahmm hmm hm hmm hmhmmm

sorry all, for this very late post. hope not too late though.
