The worst part is that if the family sees him go through the wedding ritualistically in front of them, nothing he says after will make them let go of Binni. They wouldn’t care about anything legal, especially not Dadi. Binni would be for them their bahu since religiously he’d be married to her, rithi-rivas and all.

I was fine till the varmala (no I wasn’t, I’m lying) but the mangalsutra threw me off. And the idea of him putting sindoor on somebody else is making me feel all icky.
