Stree 2 should bring back some cheer for Bollywood trade this Independence Day. The film is on a rampage especially in cities like Mumbai and Delhi. More than 2.5 lakh tickets have been sold at PVR-INOX and Cinepolis. Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 is set for an opening of Rs 45 crores. The actress is the queen of blockbusters with movies like Saaho, Chhichhore, Baaghi and Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar in her kitty. She is also one of the highest followed Indian celebs on Instagram. Stree 2 is set to be in her highest openers like Saaho. 

Biggest ever advance Independence Day bookings for Stree 2

The advance bookings of Stree 2 are ahead of Gadar 2. This is the highest ever for any Bollywood movie. It has beaten the 11-year record held by Chennai Express for paid previews. This proves that the pull of a massy family entertainer is huge if done right. 

Stree 2 going berserk at box office

The advance booking has crossed Rs one crore at the box office. It is one of the most anticipated upcoming Bollywood films on all online ticket booking platforms. On PayTM it has crossed 210K while it is BookMyShow interest is above 200K. 

Stree 2 is going to be the first non-action movie to have a bumper opening. The on-ground buzz for the film is huge. If some reports are to be believed it is might cross the Rs 50 crores mark. This is despite a clash with Khel Khel Mein and Vedaa. We wonder if it was a good decision to release those movies on the I-Day weekend.
