Himesh Reshammiya made his first public appearance since his father's passing, as he performed the final rites for his father, the late veteran music composer Vipin Reshammiya, who passed away at 87 in Mumbai on September 18. Himesh, clad in a white kurta, respectfully greeted the paparazzi with a namaste, with his wife by his side. Vipin Reshammiya played a pivotal role in shaping Himesh's musical journey, providing guidance from his early years. Prior to his demise, Vipin had been hospitalized for respiratory issues. The final rites for the respected composer were set to be held in Juhu.
A revered icon in the music realm, Vipin was instrumental in molding his son's path to success from a tender age, serving as a mentor and steering Himesh towards achievement.

She said, “He was in Kokilaben and passed away today at 8.30 pm. I am a family friend, more like family. I used to call him papa since the time he was making TV serials. Later, he became a music director, and then Himesh followed in his footsteps. We share a very close bond. Anup Singh, the numerologist, and I were also very close to him.”
Even though Vipin Reshammiya had a talent for composing, he opted not to pursue a full-time music career. His primary focus was nurturing his son Himesh's abilities. While he garnered acclaim for his work in television, Vipin's main objective was to bolster Himesh's musical path. He once expressed his immense pride in Himesh's musical gift, evident from a young age.
For those not familiar with Vipin's work, he produced The Xposé (2014) and Teraa Surroor (2016), both featuring Himesh. Vipin also composed music for the unreleased film Insaaf Ka Suraj (1990). Himesh once shared that his father was set to collaborate on a project with Salman Khan, leading to Himesh meeting the Bollywood icon. This encounter paved the way for Himesh's breakthrough as a music director in the 1998 film Jab Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya, starring Salman Khan and Kajol.
