Stree 2 box office day 4: Shraddha Kapoor movie to make Rs 50 crores plus on Rakshabandhan

Stree 2 has set the Indian box office on fire. The total weekend collections so far for the Indian movie industry has been Rs 350 crore plus for the four-day weekend. Out of this, Rs 200 crore plus has been contributed by Stree 2 alone. The movie has crossed the Rs 280 crore gross mark worldwide. It is going to be a fab Monday for Stree 2. While the early morning collections were a little low, given that Rakshabandhan is not a public holiday, but the evening shows have picked up. The film is making families flock to the theatres in all centres, urban, semi-urban and small town ones. 

The evening shows are running at 50 per cent occupancy in almost all parts of the country. The Sunday collections of Stree 2 were better than that of day one. Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao movie has cameos by Varun Dhawan, Akshay Kumar and Tamannaah Bhatia in a song. The peppy numbers are another highlight. Kangana Ranaut praised the film saying that Amar Kaushik deserves credit for his story-telling skills. The filmmaker also shared her story. The best part is the overseas success of Stree 2. The movie has picked up three times in key markets like Gulf, North America, UK and Australia. 

Stree 2 is about the battle of Stree with Sarkata. The movie has the right element of horror and comedy. Abhishek Banerjee has done a fab job in the movie. Stree 2’s overseas collection will cross Rs 50 crores today. The movie has made Rs 280 crores worldwide so far. It ranks along with Kalki 2898 AD, Fighter and Shaitaan in the biggest first four day collections ever. Stree 2 is hitting Rs 50 crore daily since its release, similar to the likes of Jawan, Pathaan and Animal. It has collected a huge sum even in the UK and Ireland. The day five collections are better than day two for Stree 2. Maddock Films has had a great time at the box office with the successes of Munjya and now Stree 2. This proves that audiences need varied story-telling in theatres.
