Reason behind the split of Tanisha and Uday

It can finally be told. Things soured between former lovers Tanisha Mukerji and Uday Chopra, who were informally engaged, because the former wished to have a prenuptial agreement in place before she tied the knot with Uday. The story goes that Uday was anything but happy whenever the 'prenup' topic cropped up. A die-hard romantic, he felt that it was unnecessary for him and Tanisha to get into any such agreements.

Touted as one of the most practical solutions by couples today, a prenup ensures equal division of finances and personal liabilities in the event of a divorce. Obviously, Uday, who is at the helm of one of bollywood's biggest film empires, Yash Raj Films, feared that Tanisha will claim a right to his biggest asset - everything associated with Yash Raj Films - if the couple ever opt for a divorce.

Sources close to the couple indicate that Uday was torn between his sweetheart and family pride. He also made repeated attempts to convince Tanisha to drop the idea of a prenuptial agreement, but she just refused to relent. Naturally, the respective families got involved in the matter and the two decided to part ways amicably.

An industry insider reveals, "Uday thought it was unromantic to sign such an agreement. Tanisha just wanted to be secure and a prenuptial is by far the best solution when couples decide to go their separate ways. At least, they wouldn't indulge in any ugly fight over money, as the matter of wealth is already pre-determined in the agreement." & nbsp;

Although Tanisha refused to discuss the matter with us, she didn't deny the story either. She simply says, "I don't wish to comment."

We also sent a text message to Uday Chopra but he didn't reply.

So, prenup agreements maybe a fixation for most hollywood celebrities, but it is yet to gain popularity amongst our desi stars.

this article does not make sense and is Uday chopra has more money and more at stake than Tanisha so It would probably be him insisting on one not TAnisha. It wouldn't be in TAnisha's best interest to sign a prenup. It woudl have been in Uday's best interest to sign one. Plus as an FYI, Prenup are not drawn to " ensures equal division of finances and personal liabilities in the event of a divorce" (as per the article) they are drawn to protect each party. For the richer one it's drawn so that their partner cannot walk away with a crazy amount of assets. Normally you keep what you bought into the marriage prior to the marriage and divide what you bought in together after the marriage. The writer really needs to understand the logic behind a prenup.

actually, it can go the other way around...Uday could lose half of his fortune and thats the reason why he didnt want to do it...Tanisha wouldve gained half of his fortune so it technically was in his best interest to not get a pre-nup.

Can you hold her responsible for asking that....after watching what happened to his elder brother's wife. Adutya refused to be under the same roof as his wife just after three years and htey had a love marriage...

So Tanisha wants to hold her life secure and also so that Uday is gets these ideas would think twice before doing that to her....

And you know his family could not do anything to help Payal..so if Tanish were to get in the same situation where one more Rani comes up and break her home then atleast she has somehting to get back on..

WHy Tanish has to be goody good and then be taken for a ride just like Payal Chopra by Aditya-Rani.

Also I think Tanisha is not that much into movies....Her sister Kajol left the movies for marriage when she was riding high...so I guess there has to be something else too...

Actually Jaan lovers right uday would gain thats the whole point of prenup not to half the property etc before just to decide what they keep which in prenups like after if they divorce they can write in she cannot claim more than set amount or will be given xx which if it went to court could be more than in the prenup. Some couples sometimes just keep all the assets seeperate like with nicole and tom i bet they had houses before written in prenup and earnings/savings coming in that is theres ...which tanisha would have no worrys about after neel and nikki😆. Its true its security if aditya such a known and respected director can treat his family//wife like dirt uday can too...know they not both same but still safety net.
