While Geet tried to act nonchalant and observe intimate greetings covertly the receptionist spoke up

R- I am sorry madam ... there seems to be a mix up... we only have twin rooms left (single room with 2 separate single beds in it)

M - What?( Depressed)

G- Huh?( Shocked)

A -Oh no what a mess (fake sad)

M - There has to be something else. Check again.

G - Yeah!! What do you mean twin room? What about suite with at least 2 rooms??

Geet looks at Maan suspiciously... Ki all along was this your plan?!!

Maan innocently shakes his head.

He was hoping to have a happy misfortune of only duplex room (1 single king size bed) available instead of suite, but this is outside his expectations.

Ayesha who wanted to say few things and make these people accept twin room arrangement, choked on her words, and shut up.

Indeed, separate rooms in a suite is even better.

R - Uh... let me check once more

She looks sideways at someone secretly.

Geet doesn't know who, but she catches the action and immediately understands that even room assignment has been hatched up by these people.

The sinking feeling in her stomach just becomes worse.

To plan this much... seems like next few days will be really very unpleasant.

The receptionist checked ... unfortunately, really only twin room was available now.

Geet also didn't want to say more and ask for two rooms at this point.

These people clearly wanted to create problems, misunderstanding and distance between her and Maan.

Well, she isn't going to let them do it!

Whatever is between her and Maan is their personal business. These people are not allowed to mess up their relationship.

Maa is a big catch... While everyone was thinking they have enough time... One day he suddenly says he is married...

What about all the aspiring and waiting women?

By hook or by crook they are determined to snatch Maan or become a 3rd party during this get together.

Geet was able to somewhat grasp this underlying motive more or less.

After all this and her line of work she has seen plenty of people so these tricks time and time again.

She didn't have a clear conscience herself; she tried the same with Maan.

But even then, she had never planned to go after a married man or break any relationship.

Sometimes she hates her past self...

Maan started to introduce the people to Geet.

He told everyone's name, who was his friend from school/college. Who was their spouse or sibling or finance.

Seeing Maan earnestly remember and introduce everyone by name, Geet didn't say anything about what had just happened.

She didn't want to tattle on his good friends.

Maan introduced Ayesha too, apparently, she was the student union vice president and almost always the leader of all their college group activities. She went abroad for higher studies and internship. She had just returned 6months back.

Geet politely nodded at Ayesha with a clear fake smile.

Maan could sense the undercurrents brewing. But he was waiting to ask Geet about it once they were alone.

But he didn't need to. Next moment someone spoke up and apologized to Geet for the previous misunderstanding.

Geet graciously said that it didn't matter. It's fine.

But the people insisted that they were wrong to blindly believe in rumors.

M - What rumour?

G - it's nothing. it's fine you all. No harm no foul

P1- it's good that you are so broadminded.

P2- yes yes just like our Ayesha. Don't mind her okay. She knows that Maan likes you and just didn't want you to feel bad.

P3- Yeah, it's all our dumb fault. Let's not Blame each other and get along.

Geet was genuinely happy at the straightforward apology but as they spoke more and even defended Ayesha... her smile grew stiffer.

The way these people talked; anyone would think that Geet had just bullied Ayesha.

G- it's fine really. I don't mind. After all you all had good intentions

Maan heard everything and deduced it was the stupid mistress rumor at play again.

He didn't realize he would need to clarify it to friends fore hand.

M- It's my fault for not inviting you all to a proper wedding, which led to all this confusion. Since my wife is a public figure, we wanted to keep personal and professional life separate, so we didn't make it public.

Everyone laughed and treated the incident as a silly misunderstanding.

Maan and Geet went to their room to freshen up and wash off the travel dust.

The room assigned to them was spacious with a balcony.

The 2 single beds were far apart divided by beside tables and a mini fridge.

Geet didn't feel comfortable sharing a room with Maan out of the Blue.

Seeing her still standing at the room entrance Maan asked

M - Shall I get a separate room?

G -emm…I haven't stayed with a guy in the same room before.

M - Well we did stay that first night-

Geet quickly interrupted him feeling embarrassed.

G- That doesn't count!!

M - Alright, you settle in this room. I'll get another one.

She purses her lips nervously.

G - We can try…

She murmurs.

G - I mean.. it should be fine right? We can share the room? I would probably hog the mirror though…

He smiles and nods.

M - You have all the mirror time you want. I won't mind. Which bed you want?

Geet felt a bit awkward with the arrangement and bit excited at the same time.

G - I want the one near the window.

Maan helped move her stuff towards her side of the room.

While Geet started unpacking and arranging her toiletries and makeup.

G - What's the plan for today? What will we do?

M - Everyone wants to race first thing. Usually, the one who loses has to pay over the next few days and be punished into running all sorts of useless errands.

Maan laughed and told Geet, about the guy who lost last time. They made him wear bright neon clothes for the rest of the vacation.

G - So, have you also lost before? What did they make you do?

M - Me? Lose? Hah! Never.

Geet smiled and shook her head. Even if he did, he probably won't tell her.

Geet changed into an elegant dress and Maan wore a plain casual shirt with pants.

Maan complemented her and helped her adjust her big hat for a few minutes.. no matter what angle you tilt it at he felt that Geet looked good... he couldn't decide which one was best.

In the end Geet restored it to the original way she had put it on.

They reached the racetrack and Geet saw people dressed up in leather pants and biker jackets. A few people even had helmets in their hands.

Geet looked at Maan feeling extremely mad.

She had half a mind to wring his neck and make him understand what does dress to occasion mean!

While half her mind suspected that he deliberately let her stick out like a sore thumb and be made fun of

But she looked at his own stupid out of place pants and dress shoes.

And sadly, accepted the fact that she is tied down with a clueless fashion idiot.

Of course, now that she looked so out of place some people just pointed and laughed at her behind her back. They said all sorts of things that she was clueless, a wannabe, trying too hard to fit in but backfired.

Some people who were jealous of her. That she got married to Maan. Laughed maliciously and spoke mean things in hushed voices.

Lovely!!! Can't wait for further parts. It would be fun reading their mini vacation. Maan is so dumb in styling or he don't want Geet to dress up according to theme, maybe he like her has she is!

Well this lady Aisha doesn't seem to be good as she pretended to be but Geet couldn't comprehend how to respond as she is one of the acquaintece of Maan

Well I really loved that they both are staying together as this was important to bring them closer mentally first & they had to be part of each other life

Maan & his fashion 😂😂 that was really cute but hopefully we see Maanret getting closer to each other in this vacation

I think ayesha is behind for what is happening with maan n geet

seeing the way maan dress geet thinks maan is dumb in dressing sense but I think maan is all calculated with his each step

I think people don't twice think beforehand to be rude to others and they sorry easily and maan friends thought that she is a mistress and said what not then one word sorry enough for that👿hope their vacation will be happy days

Wishing that MG get more closer with this vication and jealous Geet takes her claim

I'm glad that Geet realizes some of Maan's friends

can easily cause misunderstandings between herself and Maan

I like that Geet was also hesitant to stay in the same room as Maan

however she said that they can share the room

agree with Geet that Maan ought to have told Geet about the dress code

her anger was understandable

hate that his so called friends laugh at her

as expected that they are jealous of her as she married Maan
