Came across Neil's interview today. Excerpts:

Neil Bhatt reveals that Virat will always choose his duty over love. Initially, he chose Sai for she was his duty. And now, he chose duty which is Pakhi since she helped Virat get out of his bad phase where he wanted to die. Neil agrees that while Virat knows and is aware of Pakhi's misdeeds, he cannot unsee the debt she made by giving Virat a new lease of life when he wanted to end it after Sai was declared dead. However, he has always been told that Virat will always keep his duty above his love. Neil says that he doesn't know what the future holds in Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin, but he knows that right now, Pakhi is his duty. "Love is always going to be Sai. However much he may fight with her, I think there's always going to be love. So, it is a very complicated way for Virat."

Neil adds that he would never see the way Virat sees things and says that there is a difference between Virat being a husband to Pakhi and Sai because they are two different people. He says towards one, he feels a lot of love and respect while for the other, he feels in debt.

Exactly my point! I have been saying this Pakhi is duty. Duty is taken for others, not for selfish purposes. So that is what I am waiting for. Only once duty converted into love. will not happen again.

This is the reason why Virat was so confident to explain his side of story when he met sai post leap. He knows Sai will understand. He has a strong point

Also, it fits very well with the theme of the show. I believe, Neil has clearly spelt it out

I believe no one can understand Virat better than him who plays his role. He proved me right yet again. His elaborate take on the nature of Virat’s equation with Sai and Pakhi spell clarity,vision and thorough understanding of the theme.

Arey kehna kya chateh hai bhai…. So he will chose duty over love hence we are stupid to wait for Sairat as endgame???

This logic of Didi saving his life is ridiculous…. Ek toh usne sab kaand kiye aur ab woh hi mahan. Sai ki galti hai woh dead presumed kiya toh ?! Didi becoming duty logic is not sitting in my head whatsoever

He never said anything about who he will end up with. He said his love will always be Sai. So it is upto makers to show if love wins or farz

Essentially he will be manipulated by P till the end and that’s the plot! Sai is side character who he loves but cannot have coz of constant manipulation!
