For those who think we're criticizing the award because that's just how we are - "Pakistani's." These awards deserve to be criticized, there wasn't just ONE mistake, there were a million which then don't count as a mistake.
Dastaan did not get the proper attention that it should have gotten. Fawad, Sanam and the rest of the cast should have been up on the stage for actually playing out the roles so perfectly including those people who were behind the scenes working their arse off to make this show a success and what did we get? A measely speech by Momina Duraid and Sultana Aapa! 👏
Secondly, Fawad Khan did not have to win but he should have been nominated at least. He deserved that recognition because at the end of the day, these actors get paid for what they do and the only way they can be appreciated is through these awards.
Thirdly, Sanam Baloch was left out of EVERYTHING. She got nominated for Roshan Sitara in which she herself thought that she could have done better. But she was ignored for being a part of Dastaan.
I'm gonna lose count, so might as well just keep them short and simple for everyone to read. Mahira did NOT deserve the award for Best Actress. I'm not going to be nice and sweet about it just because she came out looking amazing in HS but because Saba Qamar deserved it WAY WAY WAY more than her. Agree or not, that's the harsh truth. Saba's role was challenging and had so many shades to it.
Maat was completely ignored on the whole; they deserved more recognition for their hardwork including Adnan Siddiqui and Amna Sheikh. They deserved more.
There's no need for fighting over it, but the truth is; we were expecting a lot more. At the very least, I was. When someone had posted the list of winners in this forum; I had kept on thinking that there might be something that the Hum Network would realize later and somehow add FK and Humsafar to the list where they were actually supposed to be. But nothing like that happened. Hum Awards deserve the criticism because they did not actually showcase and give out awards to those who deserved but they were bias! End of story.
I don't mean to offend anyone, and I'm pretty sure many will be offended, but like I said agree to disagree. Everyone has their own perspective and this was mine. No one has to agree with me if they don't want to.
