All Danish had to do was close the door after Mehwish left with shahwar. No aggression needed for him to show some self respect.

I get they've been married for a long time and there will be feelings. I don't blame him for still being in love with her, even tho I find it hard to understand myself. But marriage isn't a unilateral decision. You can't force someone to stay married to you. And I know it may seem hard but the man needs to let her leave.

I wonder if the pacing of the episode makes a difference in how some people feel about this compared to others. The episode literally focused on one day. And the actors did a great job but given there's also no other characters maybe the focus on the situation was prolonged.

But that is what is doing ...he has not once told her to change her decision or emotionally blackmail her using Rumi

But this is a guy who is madly in love with his wife ...and had no social life because he revolved his life around her...so letting her go like that is no way easy for him ..

We could call him weak if he had made an attempt to stop her even after knowing what she has been up to..

I thought it was sensible that he didn't make a scene in front of Rumi. The poor kid has enough of a hard time to come without also seeing that.

Ugh. I hated Mehwish's plan about Rumi. Horrible woman.

I find it nice to discuss our different views. I see where you guys are coming from. But I dunno. I have mixed feeling.

True ...but he might be hoping that she may change her mind over night ...

But can you imagine the pain he will have to go through watch his wife leave with another man infront of his eyes .. so its better for her to leave when he is not around

I use to think that he has no self respect ... But Danish stood his grounds when he told Mehwish she could not go back to her job ..he wouldn't have done that otherwise and gave into Mehwish's wish to continue the job

Because we have not seen him being aggressive we think of him like that (weak male with no self respect)

His love for Mehwish is genuine and wants her to be happy and that why he was always polite with her but it takes real guts to endure what he is going through with so much patience.

However i do think we are going to see a different side of him ... And i really dont think he will now take Mehwish back

but you see wo pehle mana karta tha mehwish ko kisi bhi baat pe but when she would show anger he would give in easily...thats his weakness

im not against his love but banda pyaar mein itna andha bhi nahi hona chahiye...he should still love himself and not forget his rules just for her happiness

now ill be super mad if he takes out his anger and ill feelings out on Hania because of Mehwish

Exactly this. Men who use violence, aggression, or emotional abuse are despicable. However, anyone (man or woman) who chases the tail of someone who clearly has zero interest in them, let's their husband/wife walk all over them and never takes a stand for their own right is completely pathetic and have a part in the bad treatment being meted to them.

If you happily become a doormat for your partner you shoulder some of the blame for how you're being treated. The minute your partner makes it clear they're not invested in the marriage and continues an affair with another man/woman you should be giving an ultimatum: either you stop cheating and remain faithful to our marriage or we part ways and you can do what you want.

I find it really odd that some people think that the mark of a loving husband is one who is willing to be a doormat for his cheating wife. For me, any person who refuses to assert their rights and whose life becomes wholly dependant on their husband/wife is an unstable and insecure individual. That kind of behavior isn't healthy and shouldn't be looked to as an ideal.

Like I said before, in the recent batch of dramas I think Faakhir from Khaas was the perfect example of a loving husband who has a healthy relationship with his wife and a healthy attitude towards his marriage. Sami Khan and Agha Ali's characters from Be Inteha were also good examples, and Mustafa from Sun Yaara.

I think Danish apni baat pe kaim rehta tha .. ghalat kaam se rokta tha Mehwish ko...he rarely gave in to her wrongs doings... like bribe na lena jabke Mehwish encouraged him alot..Mehwish revealing blouse pehne se rokna ...the whole issue with Monty ... (These are some examples shown in the drama)

The only time he got aggressive with Mehwish was jab woh Shawar ke sath dance kar rahi thi ... I guess because he got aggressive he gave in at that point ..maybe because he felt guilty for being aggressive...apart from that Danish ne wohi kiya jo woh chata tha (thats how is see it)

I think he will not take his anger out on anyone ..he is a kind man ...agar anger nikalni hoti tu pehle Mehwish aur Shawar pe nikalta

I think he will have trust issues maybe

Heartbreak does change a persons personality completely. I think he will behave the same way Afzal did after Ulfat left him in dmkd
