I watched a few reviews of Shamshera. None of them seemed to trash the movie. Most reviews I saw praised elements and appreciated its grandeur and vision. They also praised Ranbir's performance. But they also criticized the film for its writing and overall plot. The story was deemed messy and stuffed. It brought down a potentially good movie to mediocre.

Himesh Mankad works for Pinkvilla so obviously he is going to support RK’s films. He was the same one who called 83 and Sardar Udham boring.

He said 83 had too much cricket and lagged behind in elements that a feature film warrants.

And Sardar Udham was too slow and boring and did not have goose bump worthy moments. When people on Twitter said it was real incident and not a masala movie, he said “nahi Jama toh nahi jama.. why forcing your opinion on me”.

Now he wants people to be lenient towards Jamai Raja’s movie.

He gave Sardar Udham 2 stars .. saying slow, boring and no goose bump moments. But now he has a problem with people giving RK’s movie 1.5 or 2 stars.
