Raj Kundra opens up about separation from first wife Kavita: ‘She was the reason our marriage broke down.

Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra has opened up about his marriage and subsequent separation from his first wife Kavita, 15 years after their divorce. The interview comes after an old video featuring Kavita allegedly blaming Shilpa Shetty for their separation resurfaced online a few days ago.

“It’s saddening a few days after my wife’s birthday, 11-year-old news goes viral again, bringing up a half-baked story and forever trying to malign us. There is obviously some agenda. I have maintained my silence for 12 years, but enough is enough now,” Raj told Pinkvilla.

The businessman alleged that while Kavita blamed a celebrity for her broken marriage, it was she who caused a rift in their relationship.

Raj Kundra accused Kavita of having an affair with the then husband of his sister. “She grew very close to my ex-brother-in-law, spending more and more time with him, especially when I was out on business trips. Many of my family and even my driver would say we sense something fishy between these two and I would never believe it. I gave my ex wife the benefit of doubt. I did everything I possibly could for both sides of the family because for me, my side or her family is family, a principle I still follow today,” he told Pinkvilla.

Raj further claimed he also found a cellphone hidden by Kavita and discovered the messages she had sent to his sister’s husband. “I recall how heartbroken I was and how I cried and cried thinking about what I had done to deserve this. I called and told my pregnant sister the phone number was Kavita’s second secret phone and that I was going to drop her at her house, and that was the end for me. She could decide what she wanted to do.”

Raj alleged that after he and Shilpa Shetty began dating in 2006, Kavita “sold a story for tens of thousands of pounds to a UK tabloid claiming Shilpa ruined her marriage.” The businessman added that Shilpa supported him through this difficult phase of his life.

Raj Kundra and Shilpa Shetty tied the knot in 2009. They are parents to son Viaan and daughter Samisha.

Raj looks like a big time liar to me with a cooked up story.

Raj is a big time liar..🤢..it was he who broke his own marriage by falling for someone prettier....Shilpa is no less.....but why would you blame a third person when it was the husband who took vows with his wife.....but Shilpa s a douchebag none the less going into it knowing that he was married and a father....but he was also very rich🤬.....so after ruining Kavita's life he is now shaming her after 12 years wthout realizing what affect it would have on his first born......Raj and Shilpa can go to hell for all I care...such douchebags both of them..another Dharam-Hema..🤢

I never followed their saga so have to ask.. How do you know? No I am not doubting you.. Just curious as to how you are so sure he is lying

i might true what he is saying but i am pretty sure that he cheated on her as well.

We have no real way to know. But Raj doesn't have a good track record so nobody would believe anything he says. He is always involved in shady and criminal activities. He and Shilpa were kicked out of the IPL when he was caught for betting. He has had dealings with underworld gangsters and has been questioned by the government several times. He's currently involved in some p0rn apps where women were coerced and entrapped.

There was also gossip about him cheating on Shilpa with Karishma Tanna.

I just find it hard to buy that he was the innocent and hurt party in his marriage. He didn't even try to get custody of his daughter and just abandoned her when he found Shilpa. No matter how evil his ex may be, she wouldn't be able to do anything if the court gave him custody. He just didn't want the kid around anymore because he had a new family.

I remember reading a lot of stuff regarding his marriage but never heard about Kavita having an afafir with her BIL....now Kundra is shaming her like this....He forgot that he has a son with her...the boy must be in his teens or early 20s now...all grown up....First Kundra deserted him...and now he is shaming his Mom like this....Being a Mom myself I am always drawn towards the kids and their well being first....Kundra is a douchebag...any which way...

I think he has a son not a daughter...but that is a moot point.....he never wanted his child ....I heard that he had totally abandoned him....someone who was so hurt that his wife cheated on him would not fight for his child?? Now he is mudslinging his ex wife and the mother of his child...because he doesn't care about him and flaunts around his other son...
