Bollywood and Clashes have become
synonymous these days and has almost
become a norm as some of the biggest
movies have been victims of it. The latest
edition to kick off 2018 is Padmaavat vs
PadMan.
Padmaavat has been riddled with
controversies from the get go and has finally
settled on the release date of January 25,
2018. However, the date was already taken
by PadMan earlier.
When a leading daily asked PadMan
producer Twinkle Khanna about the clash,
she said, "It's not pleasant for both [the
parties] and will impact both. But they have
also been through enough of their own
hurdles. But I wish they would have come a
week earlier or a week after us preferably. I
am sure Mr [Sanjay Leela] Bhansali has made
a wonderful movie but we are very
confident of our content. So, I am not
apprehensive, and we are not going to
move or anything because we are very
happy with what [date] we have. (laughs).
He has been making relevant choices. He has
also been undergoing a personal evolution.
What I find remarkable, as somebody who
has been with him for almost 18 years now,
is that he isn't afraid to take leaps and
change with times and grow. Even his
thought process vis--vis what he would
think 10 years ago and now, is evolving.
That's [how] all of us [are] at this age."
R. Balki's PadMan is based on Arunachalam
Muruganantham (inventor of low-cost
sanitary napkins for women in rural areas)
and stars Akshay Kumar, Radhika Apte and
Sonam Kapoor.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat stars
Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and
Shahid Kapoor.

Padmavati has lots of problems releasing. Instead of wanting them to move their film why can't Padman move as they don't have any issues and are low budgeted too? Now it's obvious those whining articles in BOI and BH were planted by Akshay and Twinkle.

Exactly my question and the padmavati team also needs the security that the republic day weekend offers. A film which was supposed to release on December 1 2017, faced delays and have finally cleared all problems.
Instead of supporting they are spreading negativity

In fact more than Padman . Team Aiyaary should be upset since it was a film about the army and was targeted for republic day release. They shifted their film to FEB 9th and no hard feelings there.
