Finally, the wait is over as Bachchans whole-heartedly welcomed their guest actress/host Oprah Winfrey who arrived in Mumbai few hours ago. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan like a true Indian host gifted Oprah a saree which latter wore at the bash thrown by Parmeshwar Godrej, on her honour.

Before Oprah and Bachchans headed towards the party, the Hollywood actress paid a visit to Bachchan home Jalsa. International talk show queen Oprah chose to go truly Indian on her maiden India visit as she draped an orange and golden saree to Bachchan house Jalsa. She kept to the traditional look by teaming up her sari with golden bangles.

Oprah met Beti B and rest of the family with much delight and later graced the Godrej party along with Bachchans. The media parked outside Jalsa could only catch a glimpse of the 57-year-old as she entered the house around 8.15 p.m.

Winfrey left the house around 9.30 p.m. and that too in a car, driven by megastar Amitabh Bachchan. Abhishek sat beside his father in the front seat, while Aishwarya and Winfrey sat behind. Winfrey, who hosted Aishwarya and Abhishek on her popular talk show in 2009, arrived here Monday.

"The gracious Oprah Winfrey visits our home, to meet us and bless the baby…warm hearted, endearing … drive her to party in her honor, And Oprah in sari... looking lovely!! It is in the most modest of moments that you discover the true nature of humans…because life treats all in equal measure!!(sic)," Big B tweeted on the micro-blogging site.

Meanwhile, the entire Bollywood is thrilled about Oprah's show up in the city. "Met #Oprahwinfrey an awesome woman...spent an unforgettable magical evening in her presence !http://yfrog.com/nzeh1luj (sic)," tweeted reality-driven filmmaker Madhur Bhandarkar.

"Tonight was dinner at the Godrej House wid Oprah Winfrey. Nice 2 see her wear a beautiful Sari :) Also nice 2 see Ash out after so long (sic)," concluded dimple-cheeked actress Preity Zinta on twitter.

The media mogul is in India to shoot for her new show 'Next Chapter', which will see Winfrey travelling around the world and interviewing celebrities. She is scheduled to attend the forthcoming Jaipur Literature Festival.
