In the 90s when Alka was at the top, Asha Bhonsle and other yesteryear singers too said that 'the music was not happening and too much vulgarity in lyrics'.

It is always going to be like this. Today's generation will say that tomorrow is bad. My grandmother tells me that even Nargis's swimsuit scene in RK film were criticized then.
And for Alka's hypocrisy..isn't she the one who sang 'choli ke peeche kya hai? Also what happened to the 90s 'Sarkai lo khatiya jaada lage'?

Well, todays music is fast as the genrations demands it thats why ..its not that all the songs are boring but yea i agree b4r we use to get lot of soft songs and that were nice to listen... but its ok...

I agree with her 100%!
I really miss the old stuff 😔 Now its 75% english.. With a little rap and a bit of Bhangra and 5% hindi.. Hardly, a bollywood song now is it?

didnt she sing the song for slumdog millionaire. choli ke peche song. Wasnt that vulgar sounding and if so why did she do it? and it was recent too. I guess money talks.
