Rakul Preet Singh and SS Rajamouli Slam Konda Surekha's Baseless Claims for Political Mileage

Bollywood actress Rakul Preet Singh has responded sharply to Telangana minister Konda Surekha's remarks, accusing her of using her name for political reasons. In a detailed post shared on X (previously known as Twitter), Rakul expressed her disappointment and asked politicians to stop dragging her name into unnecessary controversies just for attention.

In her post, Rakul said, "Stop using my name in a malicious way to gain political mileage." She further requested leaders to focus on important matters instead of making false statements involving her. She pointed out that the Telugu film industry is known for its creativity and professionalism, and it is painful to hear such false rumors, especially about women in the industry.

She wrote, "It’s even more heartbreaking when such baseless rumors come from another woman in a position of responsibility. We remain silent for the sake of dignity, but it is wrongly seen as weakness." Rakul emphasized that she has no political affiliations and urged everyone to leave creative professionals out of political battles. She added, "Please stop using my name for political gains by linking me with made-up stories."

On the other hand, renowned filmmaker SS Rajamouli also voiced his concern against Konda Surekha’s claims involving Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce. He condemned the minister's statement, calling it "intolerable" and urged people to respect boundaries. SS Rajamouli posted on X, "Respect boundaries, maintain dignity. Baseless allegations are intolerable, especially from public officials!"

Earlier today, actor Nagarjuna filed a criminal defamation case against Konda Surekha regarding her controversial comments. Naga Chaitanya also shared the complaint on X, intensifying the debate around these allegations. Surekha had claimed that KT Rama Rao was responsible for Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s separation.
