Govinda's wife Sunita Ahuja confirms hospital discharge tomorrow following the gun incident

Govinda’s wife, Sunita Ahuja, has given an important health update about the actor, confirming he will be discharged from the hospital tomorrow, October 4, 2024. This news comes after a concerning incident where Govinda accidentally shot himself on October 1, 2024, while putting his licensed revolver away in an almirah.

The mishap occurred around 4:45 a.m., after which Govinda was rushed to Criticare Hospital in Mumbai. After undergoing surgery and a few days of recovery, Sunita announced that her husband would be going home soon. Earlier today, October 3, Sunita was seen leaving the hospital. Before she left, she took a moment to speak with the media about Govinda's condition.

She shared, "Sir ek dam badhiya hai, kal discharge hone vale hain sir, tabiyat ek dum first class, ab kal 12 ya 1 baje sir ko yahan se discharge kar ke ghar le ke jayenge." Sunita expressed her heartfelt thanks to everyone for their prayers and support, which she believes contributed to her husband's swift recovery. She added, "Pehla navratra mein aaj saab ka dressing bhi change ho gaye," indicating that he is making progress. Sunita also assured the paparazzi that Govinda would greet them before leaving the hospital.

On the same day, the Juhu Police interrogated Govinda regarding the accidental shooting. Reports suggest he explained that the revolver was unlocked while he was cleaning it, which led to the accidental discharge. He mentioned that the revolver was over 20 years old. While initial findings indicate no foul play, the police are still examining his statement with caution and may call him in for further questioning.

Additionally, it has been reported that Govinda's daughter, Tina Ahuja, has been questioned by the police, and her statement has been recorded as part of the ongoing investigation. For those unaware, on October 1, Govinda shot himself while handling his revolver. Just hours after the incident, he reassured fans with a voice note, confirming that he was recovering well and that the bullet had been removed.
