Pushpa 2: Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna film producers lock horns with distributors on THIS matter?

Pushpa 2 is the most hyped film of 2024. Allu Arjun is back as Pushpa Raj as he takes us into the world of red sandalwood smuggling. The second song of the movie is out, and people are loving it. We will see a bigger part of Rashmika Mandanna in the movie. Pushpa 2 has been sold for a staggering amount whether it is digital, satellite or music rights. It was reported that Anil Thadani’s AAA Films has bought the North India theatrical rights at a whopping Rs 200 crore. It is an unheard of sum for a South movie. 

Now, reports are coming that distributors in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are willing to pay hefty sums to the makers for theatrical rights but not on non-refundable basis. As we know, Mythri Movie Makers is the producer of Pushpa 2. It seems this is because of the fact that distributors suffered losses during Pushpa release in 2020. Have makers and distributors locked horns?

Prominent trade analyst Ramesh Bala told us, “Yes, there are some reports about this stand-off regarding Pushpa 2. But no should remember that it is coming on August 15, so they have a lot of time to mend issues. The distributors are not willing to do it on non-refundable basis given the monies involved. But I feel it will be sorted in due time.” 

It seems the last leg of shoot of Pushpa 2 is happening. As per news reports, filmmaker Sukumar is taking stringent measures to prevent leaks. The team has been told to keep their mobile phones shut off. And very few people have been given access to the script. Fahadh Faasil is still left to shoot his parts for Pushpa 2. He has too many films and is juggling schedules. There are rumours of Netflix buying the OTT rights for over Rs 250 crores.
