Pushpa 2: The Rule is one of the big movies of 2024 from the Telugu film industry. It is coming in December 6, 2024 in theatres all over India. We know that the distribution rights of Pushpa 2 have been acquired by AA Films for a staggering Rs 200 crores. Now, news has come that Netflix has bought the digital streaming rights for Rs 270 crores. This should bring a lot of relief to the makers. This means that they have already made Rs 500 crores from distribution and OTT. Now, even if the movie makes a minimum of Rs 300 crores, it is a win-win for the makers.
Pushpa 2: The Rule is second only to Kalki 2898 AD that was reportedly sold for Rs 375 crores. One more movie of Prabhas Salaar is in the top three with Rs 200 crores. Pushpa 2’s music rights have been sold for Rs 65 crores. This should bring joy to producers. The window period is reportedly for 65 days since its release. Pushpa 2 will enjoy a good run as the competition is very low. Of late, there were rumours of how the last schedule got delayed due to some differences between Sukumar and Allu Arjun.
It seems now Sukumar has shot two climaxes. They will see which one suits better and has more impact. When fans saw a neater Allu Arjun with groomed beard they wondered if the movie would be delayed further. The producers said that he will graduate from a smuggler to a don in the new film, so he cannot look that scraggy. Reports of how an indecisive Sukumar kept actors waiting on the sets also made news. It seems some actors came took their fee and did not shoot for a single scene on days. The makers had to pay extra for the sets that occupied prime space in Ramoji City.
Pushpa 2 has already made more than Rs 500 crores. Fans are hoping it will be one of the biggest success of the year. This time, the competition is with Shraddha Kapoor’s Stree 2 that is set for Rs 600 crores at the box office.
