Nani Slams Arshad Warsi’s 'Joker' Comment on Prabhas in Kalki 2898 AD, 'Never expected the absence.....

In a recent interview, actor Arshad Warsi made headlines by criticizing Prabhas’ performance in Kalki 2898 AD, describing the superstar as looking like a "joker" in the film. Arshad's comments have sparked a wave of criticism from fans and celebrities alike, with actor Nani being the latest to express his disapproval.

During a press conference for his upcoming film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, Nani was asked about Arshad’s remarks. He didn’t hold back, making it clear that he found the comments undeserving of attention. Nani stated, “The person that you’re referring to, this must be the most publicity he has got in his life. You are unnecessarily glorifying an unimportant matter.”

Nani's support for Prabhas adds to the growing backlash against Arshad Warsi. Earlier, actor Sudheer Babu also spoke out against Arshad’s comments. He said, “It’s okay to criticise constructively but it’s never okay to bad-mouth. Never expected the absence of professionalism from Arshad Warsi. Prabhas’ stature is too big for comments coming from small minds.”

The controversy began when Arshad Warsi appeared on a podcast interview with Samdish Bhatia, where he openly criticized Kalki 2898 AD. Arshad remarked, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata (What have you made of it? Why do they do such things I never understand).” His remarks quickly went viral on social media, drawing ire from Prabhas' fans.

Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, was a massive success at the box office, collecting ₹1100 crore worldwide. The film stars Prabhas as Bhairava, a bounty hunter from Kashi, with Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, and Kamal Haasan in pivotal roles. Meanwhile, Arshad Warsi was last seen in the web series Asur and Modern Love Mumbai, and will next appear in Jolly LLB 3 with Akshay Kumar.
