Arshad Warsi, known for his unfiltered opinions, recently shared a brutally honest review of the highly anticipated film Kalki 2898 AD in a podcast interview with Samdish Bhatia. Despite the film's massive success at the box office, collecting ₹1100 crore globally, Arshad expressed disappointment, particularly with Prabhas' performance.

During the interview, Arshad began by acknowledging the incredible star power of Amitabh Bachchan, one of the film's leads. He praised Amitabh, saying, “Maine Kalki dekhi, mujhe toh nhi acchi lagi. Mujhe bahut takleef hoti hai jab… Amit ji was unbelievable. I can't understand that man. I swear if we got the power he has, life ban jaae. He's unreal.” His admiration for Amitabh's performance, however, quickly turned into criticism of the film itself.

Arshad didn't hold back when discussing Prabhas' portrayal in the movie. He remarked, “Prabhas, I am really sad, why was he… he was like a joker. Why? I want to see a Mad Max. I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana dia yaar. Kyu karte ho aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata.” His words clearly reflected his disappointment, as he expected something more intense and powerful, akin to the energy of Mad Max.

Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin, is a dystopian sci-fi film inspired by the Hindu epic Mahabharata. Alongside Prabhas, the movie features Deepika Padukone and Amitabh Bachchan, with several South Indian stars making special appearances. Despite its commercial success, Arshad's review highlights the mixed reactions the film has received.

In the same interview, Arshad also praised Rajkummar Rao's performance in Shrikant and expressed interest in upcoming films like Munjya and Kill.

Arshad Warsi, who made his debut in 1996 with Tere Mere Sapne, continues to captivate audiences with his diverse roles, from his iconic "Circuit" in the Munna Bhai series to his recent work in web series like Asur and Modern Love Mumbai.
