"Kalki 2898 AD," starring Prabhas and helmed by Nag Ashwin, has become one of the most talked-about projects of 2024, hailed as a game-changer in Indian cinema. Recently, Jonathan Nolan, renowned scriptwriter and brother of acclaimed director Christopher Nolan, offered some valuable advice to the makers of this ambitious film.
Talking with Etimes, Nolan shared his thoughts on the sci-fi genre, particularly in reference to Kalki 2898 AD. He commended Bollywood filmmakers for their emphasis on practical shooting techniques, highlighting their dedication to on-location photography and stunt work. In response to the question, Jonathan said, “Oh wow, I don't think I have a lot of great advice for the filmmakers here who are extraordinary! I think Bollywood tends to shoot practically more than Hollywood does these days.”
Nolan expressed admiration for Indian cinema, stating that he doesn't have much advice to offer as he already admires their exceptional work. The film, set in a dystopian world, promises to captivate audiences with its groundbreaking concept and star-studded cast.
